10 team H2H
6x6 (adding Walks and Holds)
24 player roster, 6 BN, 5 DL, 2 NA
Non-snaking draft next season, reverse standings order.
6 playoff teams.
Team currently in 7th
Pederson, Bautista, Cruz, HanRam, Ellsbury, Puig
Harvey, Cole, Waino, Stroman, Odorizzi, Garcia, Tillman, Rodon
3 empty BN and 1 available NA
team 1 gets: Strasburg, Price, Brantley
team 2 gets: Trout, Sale
10 team dynasty
both sides have depth to spare (maybe team 1 is weaker in the OF afterwards, but the SP would be stupid good)
NA is for players not on the 40 man roster. Suspended players stay on the 40 man. No go.
Cut him or drop him.
My advise. Drop him. He's out 80 games. He'll play about 60 returning. Use your roster spot for someone else. Let someone else add him and hurt that team. If he's available at the ASB, then add him.
Again, the DL is for players that are injured. Suspended players aren't injured. No go.
If they did it your way, then you'd complain that there's not enough DL spots for all the players you have that are hurt.
Tough luck. Cut him or bench him. It's not going change. Yahoo uses a stats provider that assigns NA, DL, SUSP, based on official paperwork filed by MLB.
So you want to create an entirely new roster designation that will be used by, what, 5 players a year?
I'm not 100% sure, but I believe yahoo uses MLB 40 man roster rules:
-A suspended player is still on the 40 man, thus an active player (ineligible for NA).
-He's not injured (so no DL).
I never said it doesn't devalue them. But if you want 120 S+H on the year, do you want to use 3 roster spots or 5? Thus taking away roster spots that can be better used as another SP or position player.
Pence is NOT elite. He's 33. He doesn't fill up the stats line with HR or SB. He's merely serviceable. He usually won't hurt your team, but he's not going to contribute in any category with ELITE numbers.
I dont see any upside to this trade. Holds, while plentiful on a real team, get less plentiful in fantasy on a per reliever basis. I'd rather take a guaranteed 35-40+ saves over the randomness of the rest of the bullpen's hold usage. Why use 2 pitchers to get the stats of 1.
Wacha and Hamels are a better bet at filling up your pitcher stats then DeGrom
I'd keep Chapman and Miller because of their K rates, regardless of their bullpen role. I trust Melancon's team to provide ample save opps the next few years. The rest of your pen I'm not excited about.
My standings in dynasty: 1st, 5th, 1st, 2nd, 4th (2012-16)
Has been. Now he's older and was hurt for 2/3rds of last season. I'm not looking to acquire him in a dynasty at age 33, and wouldn't expect much back if I had him to trade away.
To me, Pence is just meh. But Blackmon is a guy you might want to hold on to. I wouldn't trade Blackmon for any of thee guys you listed.
What NAs are you holding? That's where I'd be looking for 2017. I've got Moncada, Swanson, Reed, Giolito in mine, with only 2 NA slots. I got 2 on my bench. If I had more room I'd add de Leon, Reyes, Fullmer
Might have an opening in mine. Guy hasn't logged in for 10 days. Team has been anchored in last for a few years and is residing there at 3-21-0 this season.
Standard settings with a few tweaks. 5 DL, 2 NA, BB and Holds (6x6), 6 BN, game day add/drop (until each game starts), non-snake draft in reverse finish order.
Teams pitching isnt bad, but the batters are pretty brutal.
Bats: Wieters, Encarnacion, Carpenter, Tomas, Semien, Polanco, Granderson, Heyward, Zobrist, Duffy, Bruce, Duda, Pedroia, Kemp, Choo
Arms: Scherzer, Cueto, Cashner, Samardzija, Corbin, Fiers, Chen, Papelbon, Chapman
NAs: Arcia, Berrios
And like I said before, you aren't keeping Matz or Harvey, or Marte if you trade for Harper.
You'd keep Kershaw, Scherzer, Goldy, and Harper. Matz and Harvey are not even considered to be keepers on your lineup/projected lineup. So, what's the holdup?
Trade a pitcher you cant keep, and a player worse than the guy you're getting. This should have been an instant accept.
OK smart guy, tell me who I report you to, Mr Know It All. Insulting, condescending, vulgar.
Let's see if yahoo likes (or doesn't like) what you post.
