End of regular season standings
Team 1: 1st place
Team 2; 4th place, 3 bad weeks to end regular season dropped from 1st to 4th
Team 3: 1st place
Team 4: 1st place, leading by 4.5 points
Team 5: 3rd place
8th pick in a 2QB 10 team h2h and 3 idp - LB, DL, DB
Peyton was #1 pick
8 Demaryius Thomas - passed on Brees, Megatron, Graham, AJ Green
13 Montee Ball - Dez was still available here
28 Matt Ryan - Luck was available
33 Tony Romo - my plan was to land 2 of these 3 QBs, Luck was my 3rd QB target.
48 Ryan Mathews - rbs getting thin already
53 Cordarrelle Patterson
68 Eric Decker
73 Emmanuel Sanders
88 Martellus Bennett
93 Robert Quinn - sacks worth 4 points, Watt went #82
108 Joique Bell
113 Eli Manning - most starting QBs gone after this pick
128 Toby Gerhart - couldnt not draft him here
133 Golden Tate
148 Riley Cooper - already dropped for Phi defense
168 Derrick Johnson
173 Mason Crosby
188 Antrel Rolle
193 Alec Ogletree
I'm not unhappy with my team, just wondering if I should have taken some of the guys I passed on.
RB1 - Ball
RB2 - ??
Ryan Mathews @ Ari, vs Sea
Joique Bell vs NYG, @ Car
Toby Gerhart @ Phi, @ Was
add FA Bernard Pierce vs Cin, vs Pit
I dont particularly like Mathews against those defenses, Bell is about the 4th option on the Lions, and Gerhart hasn't proven anything.
Jackson - goalline thief
Rice - I guess
Tate - powerful runner but bad offense and durability concerns
Sankey - rookie in questionable offense
For me, it's next best player based on matchup. Could be a WR this week, RB next week. It's all about the points, dont care who gets them. Whoever projects to get more gets the start.
Do the projected rushing numbers for Wilson seem a little low? Only 1.5 rush TDs. Yeah he only had 1 last year, but 3 in the preseason this year. Understandably QB rushing is hit and miss trying to predict, but 1.5 doesn't seem right to me.
Yeah, I didn't intend on getting Forte. He was sitting at $52 so I bid on him. I was initially targeting Lacy (who ended up being the next nomination). I got sucked into a little bidding war as I was trying to up the price a little bit, but it backfired on me. I like Forte but getting him caught me off guard.
I think Ball is going to have a huge year. Peyton is smart enough to get the RBs involved when it matters and the receiving weapons should give Ball a lot of room.
As for Cobb, I dont know. Maybe it was a panic move. I had $60 left and no WR. I'm not actually a fan and want to trade him asap. I thought $11 each was ok for White and Fitz and it made me feel a lot better about my budget but Fitz vs the NFC West defense I do not like at all.
Public standard 10 team h2h $200 budget
(7) Matt Forte - $59
(28) Montee Ball - $50
(46) Alfred Morris - $32
(48) Randall Cobb - $22
(52) Mason Crosby - $1
(56) Roddy White - $11
(57) Larry Fitzgerald - $11
(82) New England - $1
(94) Philip Rivers - $2
(95) Marques Colston - $3
(101) Russell Wilson - $1
(102) Greg Olsen - $2
(109) Denver - $1
(110) Emmanuel Sanders - $2
(117) Ben Tate - $2
$0 left over
2 QB, 5 WR, 4 RB, 1 TE, 1 K, 2 DEF
Tannehill by a mile. McCown doesnt have Marshall, Jeffery, Forte, or Bennett any more. Also, McCown played some pretty weak defenses last year and the 1 decent defense he faced (Rams) he sucked, pick 6 and fumble. His usual throw it up and let the WR jump ball for it bailed him out into an ok performance.
I think the only QB worth taking 1st overall is Peyton. He's almost a lock for 300 yards and 3 tds per week. Brees, Rodgers and Stafford might do that a few times, but not average that every week. At 6 pts per TD for QBs I'd probably take Peyton. The second tier of QBs look at 265 and 2 tds per week average. The Martin's and Morris's can cover for not getting McCoy, AP, or Charles.
QBs: Rodgers-k, Ryan-k, Palmer
WRs: Marshall-k, Jeffery-k, Cruz-k, Decker-k, Colston
RBs: Stacy-k, Miller-k, Mathews, Pierce
TEs: Olsen-k, Kelce
Def: New England
IDPs: A Ogletree-k, V Burfict, C Greenway, D Jackson, S Tulloch
10 teams, Start - 1 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, TE, 1 W/R/T, 1 K, 1 DEF, 4 IDP
I took Palmer in the 14th only because my 2 QB keepers have byes week 9 and Palmer plays Dallas which should be pretty favorable. Should I cut him to add RB depth and just add a QB prior to week 9?
For RBs Ingram, Moreno, Ivory, Jacquizz Rodgers, and Blount are available. The best available QBs are Tannehill, Flacco, and Palmer who has the better matchup, but it seems kind of silly to roster a guy for 9 weeks when he's probably only going to start for me one time.
btw, Mathews and Pierce replaced non-keepers Fred Jackson and Danny Woodhead. Crosby replaced Phil Dawson. NE replaced Arizona and Detroit. For IDPs I cut Patrick Willis, Morgan Burnett and Sean Lee.
I'd want team C the most of those 3. The only difference between A and B is the kicker and a #6 WR? I'd favor A as being slightly better than B
10 team dynasty. We start 2 RB and 1 wr/rb/te. All keeper picks are early rounders. I have Zac Stacy and Lamar Miller but dont feel good about either. Keeping Jackson would be about my 11-12th round pick. I'm not sure what other RBs will be available, maybe Ray Rice or Ridley/Vereen in NE.
Last year Jackson had some great games - 21 pts and stinkers - 6 pts. What is his potential this year? Would it be worth cutting him to get someone else more consistent with better value?
Furthermore, the 4th QB had 308.02 (Dalton). The 18th QB had 229.58 (Flacco).
308-229 =/= 100 either
Are there any other incorrect numbers you want to make up?
