Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Who's your top 3 hitter prospects to make an impact in 2015?
I have an NA slot in my 10-team H2H keeper league and am looking to use it for a hitter prospect. Is Lindor my best option? K.Bryant, Soler, Buxton, and Baez are taken btw.
So basically a player in the minors (not like Pederson) who could be an impact call-up. Thanks in advance, I really appreciate it
Is it crazy to draft Yasmany Tomas with the #99 overall pick? Fantasypros consensus rankings has Tomas at #185, and I'm afraid if I wait until my next pick (#119), he might be gone...
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
10-team H2H, hitting cats are R, H, HR, RBI, AVG, SB, K, OPS. Considering only the '15-16 season, please help me pick 2 from the following 4:
Thanks in advance!
We have a 10-team H2H keeper league where managers can keep anywhere from 5-10 players each season. We also allow the trading of draft picks, essentially like the way NBA/NFL teams do so. What generally happens is, around the trade deadline, the playoff contenders trade their draft picks for next season to get an edge. The top 6 teams make the "championship playoffs" that determines all payouts; the bottom 4 teams enter the "consolation bracket" that doesn't really mean anything. The draft order for the following season is based on the standings (reverse order, so 10th place team picks first each round) at the end of the year.
Unfortunately, we've run into the issue of tanking. Because the 10th team picks first each round (which I suppose is pretty nice), the bottom teams do a "fire sale" around the trade deadline; even more, some have intentionally "tanked" to get to the bottom. I understand this is an issue even in pro sports (i.e. 76ers, tons of NFL teams, etc), but is there anything we can do as a league to prevent tanking?
Thanks in advance-- I'd really appreciate any feedback.
