Draft and Trade Talk Message Board

Fair enough, I share those concerns about Stanton and I wouldn't draft Cabrera at 8-9 myself either. I guess my question makes an assumption that at least one, if not both, of Altuve or Arenado will be available at 10 and I think it's a reasonable one.

I don't think I'm "terribly misreading" or "pathetically" optimistic. Trout/Goldschmidt/Harper should go 1-3 (in no particular order). Donaldson, Kershaw, Machado (SS eligible), McCutchen, Cabrera should go 4-8. Stanton and Correa would still be available at 9. I hope this sufficiently answers any doubts Chris.
In my 10 team non-keeper H2H league, the stats are H, HR, R, RBI, AVG, SB, K, and OPS. I have the 10th and 11th picks. I'll most likely be drafting Rizzo with my 10th pick. That said, who should I pick at 11?
Pro/Con for Altuve
-Very useful in my league setup- really helps with H (a fairly safe bet for 200 hits) and K (only strikes out around 60-70 times).
-2B seems pretty deep this year, with many options 5-7 rounds later.
Pro/Con for Arenado
-Ton of power, playing at Coors, and 3B seems relatively shallow
-CarGo will most likely be traded this season (and perhaps others), resulting in a weaker supporting cast than now
Thanks in advance.
Who's your top 3 hitter prospects to make an impact in 2015?
I have an NA slot in my 10-team H2H keeper league and am looking to use it for a hitter prospect. Is Lindor my best option? K.Bryant, Soler, Buxton, and Baez are taken btw.
So basically a player in the minors (not like Pederson) who could be an impact call-up. Thanks in advance, I really appreciate it
Is it crazy to draft Yasmany Tomas with the #99 overall pick? Fantasypros consensus rankings has Tomas at #185, and I'm afraid if I wait until my next pick (#119), he might be gone...
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
10-team H2H, hitting cats are R, H, HR, RBI, AVG, SB, K, OPS. Considering only the '15-16 season, please help me pick 2 from the following 4:
Thanks in advance!
We have a 10-team H2H keeper league where managers can keep anywhere from 5-10 players each season. We also allow the trading of draft picks, essentially like the way NBA/NFL teams do so. What generally happens is, around the trade deadline, the playoff contenders trade their draft picks for next season to get an edge. The top 6 teams make the "championship playoffs" that determines all payouts; the bottom 4 teams enter the "consolation bracket" that doesn't really mean anything. The draft order for the following season is based on the standings (reverse order, so 10th place team picks first each round) at the end of the year.
Unfortunately, we've run into the issue of tanking. Because the 10th team picks first each round (which I suppose is pretty nice), the bottom teams do a "fire sale" around the trade deadline; even more, some have intentionally "tanked" to get to the bottom. I understand this is an issue even in pro sports (i.e. 76ers, tons of NFL teams, etc), but is there anything we can do as a league to prevent tanking?
Thanks in advance-- I'd really appreciate any feedback.
I give: Marc Gasol & Tobias Harris
I get: KD
9-cat, 16-team H2H. My full roster:
PG: J. Holiday, Collison
SG/SF: G. Hayward, T.Harris,
PF/C: Love, M.Gasol, J.Hill, Kaman, Speights, Asik
BN: Blake, Motiejunas, Vasquez
Would you take the offer? Thanks in advance.
With Perry Jones seemingly injured, OKC has 7 healthy bodies left (that is, if you include RJax who just came returned to today's game after leaving). Who would you add between Telfair and Lance Thomas?
(16 team H2H, standard 9 cats)

H2H league, standard cats. After LBJ, A,Davis, Curry, KD, and CP3 in some order, who should be the next 5 off the board? Thanks
