I remember about a year ago when they switched to the dark background and how everyone complained. I LIKED the change and expressed my appreciation for helping me save money and my eyes. Wish Yahoo would have listened to me then, apparently they DID NOT!!!
Would anyone buy a car that you didn't like how it looked? But the car manufacturer insists it is a better car because it was easier for them to change the tires or engine when required. Laughable. I remember a commercial where the big wigs of a company said, "we'll decide what the customers want", of course it was a play on businesses that go out of business because they think they know what is best. Maybe Yahoo should create a poll asking its users prior to implementing.
You could go to Roto, it uses a innings limit.
Is your biggest problem someone logging in every day and being active, really? Wish my leagues had that problem. Everyone in your league has the ability to "stream pitchers", guess my question to you is why aren't you doing it? Take your lowest ranking pitcher and stream that position, there is NOTHING wrong with it.

I was in favor of the change to dark colors 2 years ago. There was complaining 2 years ago but not everyone complained, it stopped within a few months, I haven't heard anything about it in over a year and a half.
#1 reason was the brightness, causes me to refocus whenever I look at different parts of the screen or off screen.
#2 reason was saving money, bright colors use more power thus more electricity thus more money.
I believe the dark has more appeal and I agree it definitely takes us back a few years....

There is no such thing as "as long as you play well, you can't be asked to do something else for the good of the team". To use racism as the reason is just plain ludicrous........
Maddon thinks way past that sort of stuff when presenting his pitchers in a game. If he can get Motte pitching like Rondon by playing them against each other then way to go Maddon and the Cubs are one step closer to what the Royals have. Stats don't create winners, great managers do and they know how to use those stats better than you can possibly fathom. Are you family of Rondon? It would explain a lot.
I agree whole heartedly with Robotcat!!!!!! There have been posts saying the change was due to complaints from customers. Both when they changed to dark and then back to white. So maybe Yahoo does read some of these message boards, it is not like you can say for 100% positive they don't. Thus give anyone who wants to keep this particular thread alive all the help we can. BECAUSE THIS WHITE STUFF SUCKS THE BIG ONE,. It cost more money to run white than dark, that is a fact that can not be debated. Based on that I suspect Yahoo is in cahoots with the power companies Think about it, the option was available but now they can't keep it available, WHY? Because they are making money using the white over dark, ONLY reason. They tell you the other reasons hoping you'll believe them and then they don't look like money grubbers. They are like every other company, use all of your assets to make as much money as possible.
It hurts my eyes too. Neither reason, cost or pain are PETTY reasons. I take offense to your comments that we are being petty. You have accepted it and apparently like it, congrats to you but don't expect others to feel the way you do about this topic. I would also ask for an apology.
You are NOT forced to read anything!!!!! You know this thread is about a topic that is not related to "baseball" thus you don't need to keep coming back here if you don't want to. It is YOUR choice.
I also come to these message boards to help others and sometimes to get an opinion. BUT to say these message boards are ONLY for what you have decided they are here for is not right. I believe Yahoo wants people to be here as much as possible regardless of the topic as long as it does not break the rules of decency. Well I've said my piece and I hope I have not made an enemy of you or upset you, thus I apologize ahead of time.
LOL, you complain about us posting about this topic and yet you still come out here and respond to us. What is it with you??? You have NO influence on anyone that is still posting on this thread, so get the message and stop trying to convince us this is for our own good. For goodness sakes man this costs everyone more money!!! This is painful to some people's eyes!!! Do you really support Yahoo that much as to diss the "MANY" users that are experiencing financial concerns and physical issues, REALLY???
I have tried every "forum" Yahoo provides and will continue to try every where I can regardless of your constant badgering of the users on this topic. You have made your point clear, you don't need to do it OVER and OVER and OVER, OK??? Go do what you do best and help baseball people with those issues as your comments on this thread only instigate disagreements. Is that what you are after, it is starting to look just like that!!!!
10 hits vs 0 hits - winner 10 hits
1 HR vs 0 HR - winner 1 HR
.163 avg vs .000 avg - winner .163 avg
3 to 0, If completely stat driven then .163 avg player should be ranked higher according to your comment. RIGHT?
LOL, if you move up one spot you'll want to move up another then another, it is a vicious cycle.
Break the season into thirds, the first third you got fifth, in the next third you get first, and the last third you get fourth. Lets say the team in currently in first place gets a sixth and seventh for their other two thirds. Combining the thirds for both team leaves your team ahead by a score of 10 to 14. Always try, but trying might actually mean don't make any moves because your team is actually good but got off to a slow start.
Got numerous teams and updated all the rosters this morning only to find out one league didn't save the changes. My son's having same issue at times.
I've had trades processed within a few minutes of accepting, they are available the next day you are able to change the lineup. If you do nothing the trade will be processed the night after it completes a full 24 hour period.

Yahoo went from white to dark about two years ago. Look at some of the comments about that change, interesting, huh.
I've also used these message boards to replace inactive managers. I seem to get trolls most times. I also find it extremely difficult getting all managers from last year to agree on a time to draft for the next year, I gave up on that a long time ago, maybe I should try again.
Everyone likes to win while doing as little as possible, but it means a lot more when you have to work at it. There are some managers that think the draft is the most important part of the fantasy game, but time wise it is a very small part and should be treated accordingly. Don't get me wrong I love drafting but have come to enjoy the season play a whole lot more. Just my two cents worth.
