I find it interesting that this guy asks for opinions and then does not like it when the majority of the others do not agree with him. Bottom line is that if you don't like the rules, then change them next year. Too many commishioners throw leagues together without thinking through the guidelines they are setting. As long as the guy is not doing anything against the rules, it is fair. For example, a bozo commish in one of my leagues required two starting QBs in a 14 team league. Well guess what? I drafted six starting QBs and traded several of them throughout the season. Was that unfair? Two of them I drafted in the last two rounds. Why did the others not think to draft them? Its not my fault they are ignorant. That commish will be changing his rules next year. I look at it as my duty to show him the error of his ways. I am commish in another league and have not had a problem. Primarily because I spend a lot of time analyzing the settings to avoid problems like these.

Cano is usually a slow starter and heats up in the second half of the year. He is already showing signs of breaking out. If you drop him now, you will be sorry.

If it was truly an accident, I would try contacting your league commissioner to see if he would be willing to correct the situation. They have the power, if they choose to use it. Otherwise, I doubt that he will clear waivers.

My biggest moves were making a pre-draft deal for Pujols effectively giving me the top two picks (along with H. Ramirez) for my 2nd and 3rd round picks (Fielder and Beltran). He threw in his last round pick (Gregg). It seems to have worked well with Beltran missing so much time. I also traded Grienke while he was still at the very top along with Damon, Downs and Kendrick for 3 sold players Ibanez, Kinsler and F-Rod. The guy was despirate for pitching and Grienke had been a beast. Good move as Grienke is still good, but not quite that good. Hunter for Danks was a solid move that I made about a month into the season while Danks was off to a hot start. Dunn for Lee and Davis was good as well. Dunn was in mini-slump at the time and Lee was heating up. Davis later got sent down. Getting J. Johnson and Price off the waiver wire was nice. Hanson, McCutchen and Nolasco were nice FA pickups. My draft strategy was to focus all of my top picks on hitters expect one ace (Haren). Then go after younger pichers with upside in the middle & later rounds (Grienke, Danks, Slowey, Volstad). Did not take any closers until the end (Francisco, Hanrahan, Gregg). Then focus on upgrading my pitching through trades, Waivers and FA. I am currently in first place with a 19 point lead and have lost only two weeks so far.

I would place him somewhere between 13 - 24, which would be in the second round in my league. As good a year as he had, he has not have a solid track record of performing as a first rounder. His 23 SB in addition to his power and improved average will be what particularly boosts his rating, as Yahoo puts a lot of emphasis on this category. I most likely would not choose him that high though, as I would prefer a player with more of a history of solid performance. This call will be similar to Adam Dunn, who also improved his batting average this year, though he does not have the speed. I am not sure that I would take him in the second round next year either, but that may be where he falls.
