I have Dan Ellis as one of my goalies, and although he plays well, he looses, and has the ocassional 6 goal game (like last night). Should I drop him for another FA goalie? Both Huet and Elliot are available in my league. Can I count on either of those young goalies to get enough playing time?

Just like any eligible position, if your player is assigned to the DL, then he will get that eligibility. You then assign him to the DL spot in your team, as you would assign him to the bench or to a starting spot. By assigning him to the DL, you open up a roster spot for another active player. Be careful though, as once the player is taken of the DL, you will be forced to drop a player to bring your roster back to the maximum allowed active players.
