As much as you often times live up to your first name, I have never believed you are an idiot. Which is why I don't think you can genuinely believe this to be true if you give it any amount of thought. Are all divisions in baseball equally difficult or does that vary based on the quality of the competition? All divisions have 5 teams and each team has the roster size and plays by the same rules. So are they all the same or are some tougher than others? Just because two leagues play by the same rules (12 team, same roster sizes, h2h, 5x5, etc) doesn't mean the level of difficulty is automatically the same.
It was a joke. My whole post was a joke mocking the stupid things people say. My whole team was made up based on what would statistically be about the best possible team anyone could have reasonably put together for 2016.
That said, and I've explained this to you before, some leagues are more competitive than others. It just depends on the number of managers who are actually active and the intelligence of those managers. If you get in a league with 12 managers, but half of them are just casual baseball fans playing for kicks and half of them hardly pay attention to the league (don't make moves, don't set their rosters daily) then that's obviously not going to be as competitive as a league were all the managers are hardcore baseball fans who are quick to make moves, always make sure they are starting active players with the most favorable matchups, etc. Why is it so hard for you to understand that?
Fine team I guess. Nowhere near best ever. My 2016 team would be much closer to best ever. 12 team H2H snake draft. Incredibly competitive league. Maybe the most competitive of all time. I got this team primarily on draft skill and willingness to grab hot players off the wire. Also willingness to trade a few big names for hot players other managers kept counting on to cool off. This is a lesson for all of you. Screw name value. Always play for the numbers. Of course, I'm in first place by a pretty huge margin and will almost certainly win the playoffs. My team as configured right now:
BN) Marte, Bogaerts
SP) Quintana, Roark, Verlander, Hendricks, Porcello,Duffy, Maeda, Happ
RP) Osuna, Colome, Diaz, Gomez
No. Marte is a stud and I don't trust price. If you really want to trade an outfielder for a starting pitcher (not sure I would want to do that based on your team), you might counter with either Jackie Bradley JR or Trumbo. But I definitely wouldn't give up Marte.
