    Need RB Help

Agree with Blaize that you should use a WR for your flex. I could roll with either guy and feel like I'm starting a good player in a good matchup. I might start Matthews though for the fact that he is playing on an offense where he is more likely to get more targets. Higher floor, same ceiling as Watkins I think. (Also, Watkins is playing a home game away from home without practicing for the most part of the week.)

As for RBs, I take Matthews at home vs those Rams and McKinnon vs. the not-so-great Packers D. The Rams D blew their load last week vs the Broncos, and the Chargers will run more to keep the blitzers honest rather than let Rivers face down the rush as Peyton tried to do (hint: Peyton is better than Rivers :) ). McKinnon's normal vulture (Asiata) is out this week, and Tate is the new guy with only 4 days to learn the playbook, so I say his chances of getting vultured are at the lowest they are gonna get.

Ivory has a tough matchup with no threat in the pass game to really back the D out of stacking the front, S Jax isn't used predictably behind a weak O-line, and Tre Mason has had a couple big yardage games, but the Rams simply don't find the endzone frequently enough to anticipate huge production out of him. Tre Mason is startable though as I think he has a serviceable floor with probably 60-80 yards from scrimmage.

Please choose two out of the three choices.

Thanks for your help on mine - here's my 2c on your decision:

Denard Robinson definitely. He is a locked in No.1 RB in Jacksonville running on a Colts D who gave up 200 yds to Jonas Gray last week. Just hope the Jags don't fall too far behind early and abandon the run, but he is the best play of the 3. I think as he will get carries early and often with the Jags trying to eat the clock to keep the ball out of Luck's hands and/or he will get lots of garbage time yards if the Jags fall too far behind.

OBJ has been great and very consistent since V. Cruz went down. I would say his floor is higher than Hill's and arguably a better upside with a multiple touchdown game the last time he played the Cowboys.

Jeremy Hill and that Cincy offense have just been so up and down against good AND bad defenses that they can be tough to predict. His usage varies (Cleveland game, anyone??) and as such his floor is LOW (like 2-5 points low), but he has 150+ yards in 2 of his last 3, so I would say that while OBJ has good upside, i think Hill has better.

I think you go with OBJ and Robinson. I think you start Hill over OBJ if you are looking for a bigger boom.

    Thanks, gents.

  • Gonna Start 3 of these 5:
Jeremy Maclin (Top 5 WR on the season, but Jordan Matthews is taking targets with Sanchez at QB, Titans held Big Ben and Brown in check)
Alshon Jeffrey (elite WR playing a bad TB pass defense at home, but Jay Culter has been all over the place this year and gives more Red Zone looks to Marshall and Bennett)
TY Hilton (top 10 WR playing Jacksonville at home, but coming off a terrible week)
Odell Beckham Jr. (lighting it up as Eli's No.1 since Cruz went down, but after Eli throws 5 picks makes me think they lean heavily on newly healthy Rashad Jennings and the run game (also, the 'Boys pass defense is much better than their run D)
Josh Gordon (last years top WR back from suspension against a bad ATL pass D, but is he going to be on a snap count and be involved right away?)

I am leaning towards Hilton, Gordon, and Jeffrey. Any insight helpful - as you can see, any of these guys is startable, but maybe opinions are out there that sway me one way or another...
