A single produces points in 3 categories, a solo home run in 5. Your point categories really border on the ridiculous.A perfect game is actually worth 96 points plus 2 for every strikeout. It is head to head so who the hell knows, one bad playoff week could wipe out a good season.

....and another thing, are there any limits on moves or innings?
Under this point method, a pitcher needs to have an era worse than 5.90 to have negative value.
Without limits, just stream three starters everyday.

"Clutch" hitting can't be reasonably measured.
The situations when coming to bat are completely different each time,
and there are different measurements for what the batters are trying to accomplish.

You read an analytical article at Fangraphs? Wow. This makes you smarter than me?
What a joke. I won't bother to post my resume. Blowout wins are just as important than winning a close game, in the context of managing your team for the season. Getting an early lead in a game helps out team managers in so many ways.
Clutch hitting can't be measured.
The at bats between players are against different pitchers, with a different score, under different weather conditions, with a different umpire, and at different times of the season, in which teams may or not be competitive or not. All these things add noise to your data.

Yes, the available waivers may be locked for a few hours or days, but it is usually not longer than three days.
After that period ends, all undrafted players are free agents. Depending on the set-up, free agents may be available immediately following the draft.

Okay, in a head to head league, positions are not important, playing time and ability are.
Get as many high average power bats as you can, followed by high average speed guys.
Try to get guys who are batting 1-5 in their teams batting order, this creates the most opportunities. Most of all make sure your players play everyday. For pitchers you want good skills, high strikeout per innings pitched, and higher strikeout to walk ratios.
Do not chase wins and saves, get the pitchers with the best stuff, including bullpens.
High strikeouts, low walks, low home runs allowed, and the saves and wins will come.
Pay attention all season, and do not trade keepers unless the deal is too rich to pass up.

Why do you guys engage the Yahoo baseball troll in this same dumb argument every year. He uses all the internet tricks of debating and it just gets tiresome.
I have been involved in fantasy baseball since 1990, and have played in every type of league, and quite frankly 12 team head to head public leagues on Yahoo are the kindergarten of fantasy sports. I find no challenges there, but some people might, so be it. Don't feed the trolls.

You need to make the point totals reflect the cost of streaming.
Streaming a pitcher that gets lit up should cost you points in the long run.

Well, there are some standards you should know by now.
Do not start LH hitters against Kershaw, Sale or Bumgarner.
Do not start any pitcher on the road at Coors field, unless he is an ace.
Start your hitters when playing in Coors.
Start your LH hitters in Yankee stadium.
Others please join in.
