I don't fully understand the farm system rules, but what is the point of having a farm system if other players in your league can pick them up from your team...thats moronic and negates the point of having it. It doesn't sound like there is an honor system in place where there should be, however it was still a huge douche move to steal Alvarez. You STOLE him. maybe he wasn't fully convinced alvarez is ready to move up to his real team. This was a poor display of character and should make everyone in your league realize the stupid custom rules in your league.

Yes, obviously hanley has higher upside than alexie but this year that's not panning out. Alexie is a proven commodity and will improve your offense. You probably could have gotten more in an active league, but from what you said it doesn't sound like it is.
