When does Yahoo! put players on the DL? The better question may be, when do the major league teams submit who will be on the DL to start the season? Do they do this when they submit their 25 man rosters at the end of spring training? I guess it may be after this, that Yahoo! will change people to "DL" where necessary.
I have Chris Carpenter in my keeper league and would like to put him on the DL obviously to free up a roster spot and he will be on the DL to start the year of course.

In my outfield I have Carlos Lee, Alfonso Soriano, Matt Kemp and Shin-Soo Choo. I also have Ryan Zimmerman as my 3B as well as Mark Reynolds, who I have been using in my Utility spot. Meanwhile, I have Magglio as well riding my bench. Its hard to drop him, but I havent really used him and with the above people, I dont see me doing so in the future much. In free agent market there is Scott Baker and Gavin Floyd on waivers waiting to come off. I want to grab Baker and drop Magglio, but not sure. What do you think?

I am in a keeper league. In my outfield, I currently have Carlos Lee, Alfonso Soriano, Matt Kemp, Magglio Ordonez and Shin-Soo Choo. My starting pitching is really great with Roy Halladay, Justin Verlander, Jered Weaver, Adam Wainwright, Rick Porcello, Javier Vazquez, Derek Lowe, Matt Cain, Dave Bush. I am killing my league so far in ERA, WHIP, etc. with my starting staff. However, I am losing my grip on offense, particularly homers where Kemp and Ordonez really has shown no power.
I got the following offer: Matt Holliday FOR Matt Cain
It kind of depends where Holliday ends up but I feel my OF may be just as good with him or without him.
If I did this, I would drop Choo and pick up a Gavin Floyd or someone like that who is on free agent to replace Cain.
I am leaning towards NOT doing this as I think my OF is good enough and Cain could be a #1 arm soon, if not already.

I was planning if I did this to pick up a young OF that I really like into which this deal would give me this room (keeper league).
I know its all about health....the only real healthy guy out of this is Jimenez. He may K lots of guys but worried about his high WHIP and issues last year and a half and now in the AL. Even when good his K/BB is not good while my 2 guys Id be getting would be good with that. Again, just a matter of health with them. So far, reports are good this spring on them.
