So with Harper out until at least the all-star break, what are everyone's plans for him? Stash him on the DL? Drop him (if the can't cut list gets updated)? Trade him?
If you wanted to trade for Harper, what would you offer, knowing he's going to be out for half the season?
If you've got Harper, what would you ask for if you wanted to trade him?

I think you're better off with Gomez and Hosmer. If Gomez remains healthy, you're looking at .300-100-40-100-40. And I think this is going to be the year Hosmer finally lives up to his potential. While Freeman may win the NL batting crown, I think Myers is still a season away from true stardom.

Well, I have Billy Hamilton, Everth Cabrera, Carlos Gomez, and Alex Rios, so there's 220 SB right there. As you say, you know what you're getting with Hunter, but Cabrera (when he's on) really can be an elite bat. It's a question of probabilities, I guess - how good are the chances that Cabrera will out-perform Hunter this year?

Dumbest I've seen this year was someone draft Matt Harvey in the second round, a week after it was announced that he was having another Tommy John surgery and would be out for the year.

I'd take side B. I think Eaton and Miller are both going to have big breakout years. If Liriano stays healthy he'll have a great year too, but Crisp just doesn't quite measure up to the other three players in this trade.

I wouldn't do it. In Kershaw and Harper, you may very well have the MVP and Cy Young winners. Miggy's fantastic, no doubt, but Cruz isn't that great.

Hill by far. If both players stay healthy, the only category Lawrie will win is steals, and even that will be close. Hill is a slugger, and he plays in a hitters' park.

I agree, he's tough to move. I'm trying to sell past performance rather than current! If I can't hit the jackpot, then I'll lower my sights - Ryu is definitely on the list, along with the likes of Scherzer or Sanchez.

That's pretty much the way I was thinking too, but Kemp has been equally bad and Dickey has improved in June. Who specifically do you think would make a fair return for Kemp? I recently offered Kemp for Cliff Lee, but the other guy didn't even bother replying.

Drop Melancon. Without holds as a category, he's only giving you a small boost in ERA, WHIP, and K. Putz gives you the same, with a bigger boost in saves. Can you answer my trade question please?

I think you did okay here. Castro is showing his true colours this year, and Segura looks like the real deal. Wheeler and Cobb are excellent prospects. Lee has no more than two good years left in him. Can you answer my trade question (if it hasn't been deleted again)?

Beachy probably won't pitch until after the all-star break, and both he and Puig are gambles - although Puig is looking more andmore like the real thing. I'd suggest countering with Puig, Nathan, and another reasonably solid SP for Gio and Holliday. Can you answer my trade qurestion (if it hasn't been deleted again)?
I was offered RA Dikcey and Dan Uggle for Aaron Hill and Matt Kemp. Obviously I can't accept that, but I wonder if I should counter with just Dikcey for Kemp. Thoughts? I have excellent hitting but weakish pitching.
My last attempt to post this got deleted for an unknown reason; perhaps it was that the spelling of one player's name includes an off-colour reference to a body part. Hopefully this post will stay around.
Hitters - Rosario, Goldschmidt, Pedroia, Wright, Reyes, Holliday, Kemp, Davis, Carpenter, Hill, Scutaro, Joyce, Peralta
Pitchers - Cueto, Teheran, Wood, Griffin, Porcello (soon to be dropped for Stults), Chapman, Nathan, Grilli, Street, Brothers

I think you've done very well here. Cueto goes a long way to replacing Wainwright for you, and even if Kemp doesn't reach his former glories, he's still a solid four or five cat producer. Cuddyer's no slouch either. And you're better off without Cespedes. Pull the trigger. Can you answer my trade question?
