Check and see if Santana Moss is in your FA pool. Some owners in some leagues dropped him cause he would be out for weeks. He is due back this week or next.
And obviously Kevin Smith is top RB pick-up this week. That's a no brainier. -

Levi is right however that person may still be available after waivers. Check back later. Sometimes people put in for say three running backs and intend to drop only one player for them to ensure they get SOME RB whilst they sleep. After the first free RB is claimed, the rest go back into the FA pool after waiver period is over.

I agree Johnson is a real gamble given his injuries in the past. If this was a standard one season league, yeah. But Gio has more upside down the road in a keeper league I would think.
And sucks you can't protect Bonifacio. He came on real strong second half of last season as you no doubt know. Could lead the NL this year in steals too. -

No. And 2 seasons with injuries is a big deal for an athlete. And a very long time. I wouldn't touch the guy in fantasy baseball though I wish him well in real life.

Somehow, some way find a way to keep Montero. You have a big plus at the catcher slot now which can be a dismal stat drain otherwise.

I like the trade scenario you proposed. Finding a way to trade Morales for Ike Davis = good in my book.
Also agree you can't assign 9 keepers at start of the season. Anything can and does happen over a long season. You can't get enough possible keepers. If they are possible keepers then they are good players and you need them on your team for this year and let next year worry about itself. -

If you want A-Rod, then take him. I'd take Lawrie. A-Rod is old and gimpy and the Yanks got Chavez to be his "valet" they said cause old folks will be missing some games other than for injury. Lawrie is young, hungry and has shown he is the real deal to me.
Any player can be argued that they are a gamble. So if you view Lawrie as a gamble, you have to accept A-Rod is too. And I'd gamble youth and desire coupled with talent over someone who is set for life and has nothing to prove. -

Definitely drop Bailey. It is only a 9 player keeper league and I'm sure with only 10 teams you have more than 9 players better than keeping the most fragile closer of his generation.
Depends who is out there it pick up. How many closers you currently have without Bailey. How many closers people in your league tend to carry. How many closer-in-waiting guys are out there.
In 10 team league are guys like Vinnie Pestano still available? I'd rather have him helping my WHIP, K and ERA weekly stats while waiting for Chris Perez to fall from grace than have Francisco blow up my stats week after week. -

I'd do it in any type of league. One year, keeper, dynasty. 2B is harder to find good help at and there are always good young OF coming along it seems. Case in point, you got Mike Trout.
