I've been thinking about that right after my 1st year playing fantasy baseball 3 yrs ago. Whether how the amount of success is highly affected based on your draft position or just being active all throughout the season is enough. Players' season stats, injuries, slumps, luck and trades greatly affect your fantasy team every season, and of course whatever you decide with your team's adds and drops.
This is a numbers game, somehow, I know if you can study those numbers, it might lead to better success (although I'm not saying you can win them all) or maybe a better finish if not at the top.

I'm not sure if Yahoo fantasy baseball started way back 2000 or 2001, what could be the highest total of championship any fantasy manager have right now? Has anyone exceeded 90 gold trophies league in fantasy baseball?

I'd go from side to side. Whoever gets what he wants definitely wins regardless of the names involve in the trade.

He's shopping Melky Cabrera because of pending PED suspension. If u need pitching then go.

Huh? What do you mean by cohesion?
I think you meant "collusion"?
It's definitely a collusion.

If you're looking for SB, I'd go for E. Young right now, although he's nursing a sore right knee. I doubt he'll steal base in any games this week until he's healthy enough. I don't know what to say with Bourn, he might have forgotten how to steal base...lol (due to changing teams and batting order may have affected him).

I see 80% of yahoo managers will start Mike Minor. But his record against this team prove otherwise.
Is anyone having the same problem as I do when posting here on the message board? And when I check on my team and all teams in my public league it says :
I don't understand but Yahoo, what's going on?
I'm currently logged on to my account and this is what all i see.....hidden managers, even me...lol!
My team is currently 3rd in steals total (10pts, roto league). I have Adsrubal Cabrera and recently dumped Erick Aybar. Alexei Ramirez is on FA. I need steals, some HRs, Runs and a decent batting average.
Who would you prefer?

High K-rate is understandable if you go for power (i.e. Adam Dunn and Chris Davis)). He's a power bat, not a speedster, so that's okay. There are a lot of speedsters out there who is below their usual averages (i.e. Michael Bourn).

How can I get a fair deal if the guy knows that sooner or later Cruz will be suspended? You're either a wise manager or a lucky one if you ever moved a player right before losing his value.

Nobody can tell if the suspension will push through right after the All star break. It's not just 2 to 3 games suspension. We're talking of 50 games to 100 games suspension, nobody would give up like that without a fight. And I don't think either in August or September the suspension will happen. If that so, the world will end right now. Lol.
Nelson Cruz has been doing pretty well this year. I know the suspension will come along soon, hopefully it will be delayed, but I've been shopping him ever since that PED fiasco broke out. Even the so called Yahoo experts has been giving advice of shopping him right this minute.
Some guy in my league accepted the deal: Nelson Cruz for Justin Upton.
It's a public league, a winner's league. I've waited 2 to 3 days with no one vetoeing the trade (considering there have been trades that were vetoed one, two months ago.
The trade was supposed to go through today and nothing happened. No trade vetoed, no nothing...
Except I received an email from yahoo fantasy baseball that the transaction didn't went through because the team I have a deal with has been locked....#$%$???
I saw that team add and drop a player from FA a day yesterday and now it's saying that that team has been locked up. Wow! I have no idea.
Tough luck huh?

I have no problems trading Cruz right now. He's been one of my productive starter at OF. Like you, I have the same dilemma. No turning back once I let him go for Justin Upton. Hopefully my league won't veto, but I really don't like Justin Upton this year. The guy getting my Nelson Cruz would have the better end of the deal if suspension won't push through or get delayed.
