It's worth mentioning that Pence would not be a keeper for me, but would certainly help me compete in 2015. My keepers currently are Kershaw, Tulo, Gomez, Goldy, Jones, Machado

  • 10 team 5x5 keeper (deep rosters)

    Give: Kershaw, Machado
    Get: Donaldson, Harvey, Pence

    Keeper Trade - Thoughts?!

Sort of. Since we are moving to 5 keepers next year, I would be replacing Kershaw with either Fernandez, Machado, Pence, although I would likely take Fernandez as my 5th keeper. However, although I downgrade from Kershaw to Fernandez, I acquire 3 free years of Castillo, plus I can be more competitive this year.

  • The format of my league allows us to keep 6 players, plus we have a minor league roster where once the player is rostered on a big league team, we can keep them for 3 years on top of the 6 aforementioned keepers. After this year, we are moving to 5 keepers. 10 team, 5x5 standard categories (deep rosters).

My current keepers are: Kershaw, Tulowitzki, Goldschmidt, Adam Jones, Carlos Gomez, Machado.

    The offer is as follows:

    I give: Kershaw
I get: Jose Fernandez, Rusney Castillo (free for 3 years; does not count towards keeper set), Pence, Kinsler (or Kimbrell)

I hate to lose Kershaw, but I see Jose Fernandez as being a suitable replacement.

    Thoughts?

  • Which do you prefer in a keeper?

    Keeper Trade - Help!

Yes, because Bundy was not actually rostered on the fantasy team his clock didn't start. Should have clarified that better on my original post.

I have the following offer on the table:

    I give: CarGo
I get: Victor Martinez, Dylan Bundy

I figure in this coming year, Victor Martinez will out produce CarGo, and since I would not keep either of them the following year (because we are moving down to 5 keepers), I basically acquire Bundy without impacting my keepers moving forward.

Make sense? Awesome - now, do I pull the trigger?

    Cheers!
