Draft and Trade Talk Message Board

You don't like Vereen as a starter? I can definitely see that as the best potential lineup though. Despite all that, do you like the roster as a whole?

I was eligible to keep him in the 10th round, but the risk was too much for me since I also had Keenan Allen to keep in the 11th round. I ended up keeping Allen and Matt Forte, BUT I also ended up drafting Gordon in the 7th round, which was the ideal situation for me. In my opinion there's no way he is suspended for a full year so when he comes back I'll have gotten great value from Keenan AND Gordon. Plus, next year I'll be able to keep him in the 6th round. I think you should do something along these lines if you have another really good keeper option like I did with Allen

If you're getting Marshall and Gerhart, I think it's a pretty good move. Your receivers are pretty weak and Marshall will certainly be elite in a .5 ppr league. Neither Floyd, nor Smith can match Marshall's production.

Murray, easily (if he can stay healthy). He's got a great o-line and is the 3 down back with flat out more talent than Stacy. He also plays in a more explosive offense that will get him more TD chances than Stacy.
10 team keeper league, PPR. Thanks!
QB Drew Brees
WR Vincent Jackson
WR Keenan Allen (kept in 11th round)
WR Brandin Cooks
RB Matt Forte (kept in 1st round)
RB Shane Vereen
TE Julius Thomas
W/R Rashad Jennings
K Blair Walsh
BN Nick Foles
BN Josh Gordon
BN Terrance Williams
BN Kelvin Benjamin
BN Chris Ivory

Wow, so insightful! No, I don't think that. But I KNOW that Ellington is more explosive and is without a doubt the center of his respective offense. I don't think Tomlin was very impressed with Bell's 3.5 YPC. That's what I think. I also think Ellington will have no problem getting 60 yards rushing and 40 yards receiving weekly with TDs sprinkled in. Sure, Bell is a receiving threat too, but he's mostly a volume-based back and he won't get as much volume with Blount there to take half the touches.

I'm guessing Demaryius? Definitely go Demaryius, no explanation needed. Doesn't matter if it's standard or PPR, he's the right choice IMO

Ellington in all leagues. Arians will find a way to get him the ball 18 times a game, just not as much inside the tackles. Bell and Blount will be in a timeshare, and Bell has already admitted that he won't be the goal line back.

Yeah, I have no idea what that guy was saying lol. I'm having the EXACT same thoughts as you.. But for you, I'd keep Julio no doubt. He has just as high of a ceiling as Gordon and has no undecided suspension. Allen is a notch below Gordon so that's why I'm debating!

Really valid points... I'm just really hesitant that he might get no suspension at all, what with the amount of time it's taking Henderson to decide and the fact that there have been no settlement talks at all! But Allen seems too good to pass up as well

Btw, my draft is sunday so I probably won't know the decision on Gordon. 10 team PPR league, 6 points per TD for all positions.
I'm already keeping Matt Forte so should I gamble with Gordon (he'd be my 10th rd pick), or go with Keenan (he'd be my 11th rd pick) or keep the QB Luck (8th rd pick)? I'm torn!! Thanks
I've been dealing a lot lately.. I'm easily the second best team, but I'm nowhere near competing with the 1st place team at the moment. I acquired Ortiz a couple weeks ago and now I want to flip him for a pitcher after trading away some of my pitching for Beltre and obviously Ortiz. I'm thinking of targeting a 1B needy team for either Iwakuma or Bumgarner. What do you guys think? Is it worth it or should I stick with my current lineup? My lineup after the trade would be:
2B Josh Harrison
SP Felix, Kazmir
RP Holland, Street
P Betances, Tyson Ross, Liriano, Arrieta, Hahn, McCarthy
Sorry for the lengthy post! Any help is appreciated

I'd do either deal, but I'd agree with Joe that Bell is less valuable in a PPR. Hill isn't gonna get the 220 carries that Green-Ellis got last year, it'll be more of a split between the two. I'd say Bernard will get a total of 250-275 carries plus receptions and Hill will get around 150 carries at most. Like the Ball-Moreno split last year.
Do it!! You don't need Decker with those three top receivers, and I'm sure you'll find a serviceable receiver on the waiver wire for bye weeks (if not a breakout receiver on the waivers). Stacy is still a bit questionable with that sub-4.0 YPC last season, and Bush gets hurt a lot. I think Bell will even score more fantasy points than Bush!
If it's PPR, definitely keep the two top WRs! You can find decent RBs later in the draft to keep that position upright for you, like Gerhart, Sankey, Tate, etc.
I'm already keeping Forte, but I'm debating between the proven elite receiver in Jordy for a 3rd round pick or Keenan Allen for a 10th rounder? I'm currently thinking a high end no. 2 receiver for a 10th round pick is too good to pass up, but Nelson's elite play holds in the back of my mind!
