Currently, my keeper league has a straight draft process where you draft in the same slot each round. Is there a way to make it a snake-style draft after round x?
Not all of my managers have signed up their teams for the year, so I can play around with the draft settings yet. Wondering if it would have to be a manual setup.
Thanks for your help commisioners!
I can keep up to 5 players 1 round (or more) earlier than drafted the previous year (with the latest round to keep a player being the 12th round) and can keep the player for up to 5 years in a row. 12 team H2H league with standard 5x5 stats except QS instead of W, plus OBP and K:BB ratio.
I have the 11th slot every round in my draft after finishing in second place last year. And, I have 2 picks in the 4th round and 0 picks in the 8th round.
1st Round - Felix Hernandez
2nd Round - David Price, Buster Posey
4th Round - Ben Zobrist, James Shields
5th Round - David Robertson
6th Round - Gio Gonzalez
7th Round - Manny Machado, Pablo Sandoval
10th Round - Mike Trout
11th Round - Billy Hamilton, Anibal Sanchez
12th Round - Kole Calhoun, Yordano Ventura, Rick Porcello, Michael Pineda, Rusney Castillo
Based on who I believe others can/will be keeping, Felix would not be available for me to draft in the first round if I didn't keep him based purely on current Yahoo! rankings (Tulo would fall into my draft slot which is tempting if he were to fall that far). Same for Price and Posey in the second round.
Right now, I'm leaning towards keeping Trout (10th), Felix (1st), Price (2nd), Hamilton (11th) and Sanchez (9th).
I'm not a big fan of Hamilton since he kills AVG and OBP, and doesn't provide much in terms of HR and RBI. I'm not sure if I'd be able to trade him for good value or not. My plan would be to hope he has a strong start and then trade him.
I'm afraid that Machado won't be able to stay healthy all year. I like Pablo's OBP and R/RBI opportunity better switching to Fenway Park as home field. I don't really like either option at 3B though.
I do like Calhoun and his R/HR categories, wondering if he'll get his OBP back up to the .330-.340 range this year.
Thanks Chris, I don't have to declare until mid-March.
I'll have to take a deeper look at where I'd expect Machado to land in the draft versus other 3B options that probably will be available (such as Wright, Zimmerman, Longoria, Bogaerts, Santana, Davis).
I'll also take a closer look at Castillo too...
Hi all, what is the latest day/time that a draft needs to be completed by in order for week 1 to count? Opening day is April 5th, can I have a draft the morning of and still have week 1 match ups, or does it need to be completed by April 4th?
Nevermind, found the info when I went to change the draft time. For H2H matchups, drafts must be completed before April 5th for week 1 to count.
