  In the past, it has been explained that Yahoo! uses the team pages to generate position eligibility but with the keeper option, it causes grief when players lose a position elegibily over the summer. Pavel Datsyuk is listed as a centre on the Detroit team page yet is LW. Patrick Sharp played LW last year and is listed as a C this year on the team site. Yahoo has him C only.

  I accept that Yahoo gets its stats and player position eligibility from NHL.com and that the teams each provide NHL.com with their rosters. Yahoo still has the capacity to add eligibility in logical situations. Their own depth charts (Yahoo Hockey - Team Pages) show Prospal, Higgins and Elias as LWs so clearly they know where the players aught to be eligible.

  Assuming the commisioner accepts the pending trade, you are pooched. Your only option would be to offer a trade which didn't involve any players currently involved in a pending trade.
