Our league scoring is set to award .5 for each first down achieved by any player. For the past 5 weeks (not all season), stat tracker has been randomly/frequently (every few seconds) deducting those first down points and then adding them back. It doesn't add and deduct for all players at the same time, but when it does, it removes all first down points from a player or players. The scoring log gets so clogged with these random adjustments that it's hard to find points for actual plays. It happens so frequently that the matchup sidebar gets clogged with them, too, and if you blink, you'll miss an actual reference to a play.

I emailed Yahoo tech support about this on October 25 and I got the basic "no, that's not happening" response:

“I’ve been looking at StatTracker pretty much all day today and I haven’t seen any more changes than normal. Live stats for StatTracker are entered by humans, and humans make mistakes. In general those mistakes are corrected throughout the game in order to keep live scoring as accurate as possible. Live scoring is as accurate as it has ever been. It’s not uncommon for scores to change during games, especially in a week like this one where most of the games were early ones. You can read more about scoring and how it is corrected in the article below.”

I got so frustrated with it weekend before last that I videoed my stat tracker while it was doing this. On top of the frustration of not being able to follow plays and scores on stat tracker, tremendous frustration occurs late in games, most especially close games, where five or six players may have 4 or more first down scores being added and taken away. The only way to tell if a player is being credited with his first downs is by looking at the actual stats within the matchup screen. If a player who I know has first downs shows none, then I know a score is too low. Stat tracker corrects after end of each game. Anybody else experiencing this? Everybod in my league is experiencing it.

Bones, I don't know if the issue you're having is the same as mine. I just posted, in excruciating detail, the scoring problem our league is experiencing, so I won't rehash it here. Read my post and reply if it's the same problem you're having.

I know it's a free service. I was simply wondering if my league is the only one experiencing this. I don't see why it would be. I've been watching the message boards for awhile and haven't seen anybody posting about it, though, so thought I'd ask.

Interesting history of ST. I didn't start FF until 2010, so I didn't know the back story. It makes sense. Frankly I was surprised I got any response at all from Yahoo. I suppose we're stuck with this problem that the Yahoo customer support guy said we are not having! Thanks for your response.
