Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
Both had a chance to play a significant role in the offense, but neither can stay healthy. Worth moving on from in 12 teamers? Matt Jones and David Johnson are on the wire and I would likely pick them up. Thanks
While some people have trouble deciding their 1st round pick, I'm undecided on my plan for the early mid rounds, say 4-6 (Yahoo ranks 30-50).
Assuming standard scoring and position needs are irrelevant, who are you bullish on in these rounds? Most players, the likes of Cooks, Bryant, Ingram, and others don't get me excited... but I might make a reach for Jordan Matthews or a steady RB2 (Gore, Miller, etc). Thoughts?
Now that keepers were finalized in my league I got the #4 overall pick. Lacy, AP, and Brown are the top 3 available (by ranking). I would be happy with one of these three, but otherwise, the likes of Beckham, Demaryius, and Forte would be left. I'm thinking maybe Luck or Julio Jones in that case, though.
In the 2nd round the talent begins to thin out. I'm thinking take a RB like Hyde, Morris, or Gordon if he falls. I could go WR - perhaps Evans or Benjamin will be there but more likely Hopkins will be best available. Thoughts? I went my Charles as my keeper and it's my last year to keep him. Players can be kept an additional two years after being drafted. Standard scoring and rosters with a flex.

Good observation. We did two keepers with the option of keeping a third originally, but changed to only keeping one when we expanded to 12 teams.

Correct to the first part of your question. And I wish I knew my slot beforehand, but don't have that luxury. That's why I'm hesitant on passing Charles if I don't get a top 3 pick to draft a RB. I guess I could go the "Zero RB" route, but I'm traditional in getting a stud RB sense (especially with a flex spot)... But I'd also be fine with Luck and a CJ Anderson, for example. So that, or JC + probably a Julio/Dez type WR or Luck if I so choose. With the latter, I'm banking on someone I draft/pick up being keeper worthy, which I'm pretty confident I can do.
In my league we keep one player and have a limit on how long we can keep them (two years, excluding the year you drafted him). There are 12 teams, standard scoring/settings.
Dez Bryant (2nd and last year)
Beckham Jr (1st year)
Charles (2nd year)
Luck (1st year)
12 teams so you can think of the caliber of players that will be remaining after keepers. Draft order is randomized so potentially you can still land a top 5 player if you score a top 3 pick (there will be one or two top RBs left on the board at least, especially if I don't keep Charles). With this in mind... is it worth having Beckham or Luck up to two more years versus the steady production of Charles and Dez in their prime for one year?
10 team, 0.5 PPR, 6 pt passing TDs
WR Beckham Jr
Q/W/R/T Russell Wilson
BN J. Bell
BN A. Robinson
BN Charles Johnson
Where can I stand to improve? Thanks

Thanks for the opinions. Would it make sense to keep Charles, one of ODB/Bryant, and Luck, then target a RB like Gordon/Yeldon, maybe Miller or L. Murray and a WR like Martavius Bryant or Jordan Matthews? 10 teams with up to 3 keepers each so you can imagine what players might be available after keepers.
