    L. Bell

    by Robert B Jul 22, 2016 10:43 AM

Rest assured he will be suspended. Last year he was suspended the first two games and produced like a stud when he returned. He was also coming back from a hyperextended knee injury that occurred late in the previous season. He lasted until Burfict delivered MCL and PCL tears to his right knee week 8. Definitely a more serious injury than his last one.

On top of that, he is now suspended for a quarter of the fantasy season. Yes, you will not take a 0 in his RB spot for those weeks, but who are you getting in week 5? The guy who can put up 2000+ total yards and 10+ touchdowns? Or the guy who is less than a year removed from the aforementioned injuries? What price are you willing to pay to find out?

When you add in what you mentioned about Deangelo Williams' stock rising, it is difficult to see Bell as a value pick when you feel obligated to take Williams as well. In a keeper, a 2nd rounder at the earliest if you can keep him there the following year(s) assuming he is even available. In a redraft, I want to fill out my starting WRs and RBs before taking a chance on Bell. I know many will disagree with me, but 5th round is the earliest I go given his circumstances.

    Keeper Help Please

The value on Cobb and Jeffery is too good to pass up. My third keeper would reluctantly be Martin. I'm not a fan of his volatile production and am skeptical now that he's been paid. That said, 4th round is fair value when factoring in his upside.

No you're right to reject those offers. You should only consider when potential upside enters the conversation.

    draft grade and advice

I understand in a 10 teamer that there will be a lot of teams similar to yours, but in PPR this team could be really good. OBJ and Nelson give you a high floor and ceiling while Tate will give you steady points. Benjamin is a wildcard. Do you remember which RBs were on the board when you picked him? I feel like you could have landed a potential RB1 at that pick and waited for a serviceable upside WR to improve your team.

That said, I do like the Rodgers and Fleener picks. They will give you an advantage at their positions most weeks, especially Fleener. I would wait for Mathews to have a couple good weeks before trading him for a higher upside back. Without a better RB1, I'm skeptical that your team can win it all.

    Alshon or Jordy

Jordy. Both of these guys have a similar floor while Jordy has had the higher ceiling.

Ezekiel Elliot ranked #7 overall ?

David David Jul 17, 2016 5:57 PM Flag

Agreed. The argument for Elliott goes that he's a can't miss talent meeting a dream-like situation: a potent offense with someone who will keep defenses honest (Dez) and a top tier OL. Dallas' track record the past few years is an offense that features one back. Based on talent on the roster, Elliott wins the starting job. As a result, his ceiling is high. What's his floor? That remains to be seen, which is the problem and why it is difficult to justify a 1st round pick on him. There are plenty of proven producers available in the 1st round. Why risk a 1st rounder on someone who has never produced in the NFL? I especially agree with your reply to Joe. I would be comfortable taking Elliott in the 3rd round, but the reality is he won't last that long. I guess we will "miss out" on him.

Need more information. Standard or PPR? Redraft/Keeper/Dynasty?

I do not understand why Yahoo does not have PPR mock drafts. One of many improvements that could be made to mock drafts.

You have many questions for well known players. I would take OBJ before Hopkins, Robinson, and Dez without question. Julio is debatable. Your concern with Norman is trivial. I take a guy like Brown, OBJ, and Julio because I know I can count on them on a weekly basis barring other circumstances (ex. see Brown last year with Vick as his QB). If Bell returns to training camp healthy, he goes before OBJ. OBJ absolutely goes before David Johnson as he is more trustworthy.

Which MIA WR, Paker or Landry?

Landry has ~15 as his floor in PPR. Parker's floor is what? 5? I think Landry has the better year and would take him in the 3rd. Parker does have upside and is a fair value, but I need to see more from him before I predict him as having the better year.

Moncrief in the 15th is incredible value. He's the best keep among the three imo.
