lecavalier's market value has recently rocketed with the firing of barry melrose, i would hesitate to trade him there is no telling what he can do with that coach gone. Corry perry is a player on the rise, he could turn into a 90 point player. Perry is also good for stats other than just points as well, he gets a ton of shots and racks up lots of pp points. Streit may be better point wise then rosival but keep in mind he is a minus killer, 4 - seasons in a row and it wont get better. Stastny is a great young player but until his mentor joe sakic returns he will struggle greatly (I am feeling this first hand) Heatly is obviously a great player but that does not make this a good trade for you, I would defineatly turn this trade down at this time for sure. Maybe if sakic returns and stastny picks it up again combined with your players slumping, this trade may be good for you in the future.

There is no simple yes or no to this trade. Marleau has been on a rampage playing on a surging sharks team. Nobody knows for sure whether or not he will keep up this pace, he looks like he is back but i think he will slow down a slight bit. Mike richards is the real deal, he is in a situation simimlar to marleaus being surrounded with talent. Overall I like mike richards better because he is a more reliable scorer, he also has the potential to explode for 100 points. keep in mind marleau had 48 points last year and is known to go into deep and prolonged slumps. Overall i like richards better. Steve mason looks impressive this year and it is quite a surprise to some, but he is inexperienced and lacks consistancy. Columbus has some other goaltending problems with almost routine injuries on there other goaltenders. Rinne is pushing Ellis in nashville a bit but he will start lots more games then mason in my opinion, rinne is not as much a threat to ellis and the other columubs goalies are to mason. Overall I like ellis and the goaltender and richards as the forward, to bad there both on different sides. Think this trade long and hard over, I would have to say the team getting marleau and ellis could win by a lot if marleau can keep it up, it is all a gamble at this point. Surpisingly both goaltenders have put up a decent save percentrage. This is a very close trade but i were to choose the winning side, marleau/ellis would be it for me.

This is a very dificult decision to make. Wait another week, it will give you more insight. Personally I would drop wideman, San jose has a very sucesfull powerplay and despite blakes age he can still quarterback it.
