Bryzgalov scares me a bit. I would be afraid his numbers would hurt more than help. If you were set on picking him up, i would drop Tokarski. They are both in the same situation, great goalie ahead of them, neither will see much time.

    Corrupt Commish?

I guess i'm not sold on Rask ending the year with much better numbers than Howard. So having to throw in Giordano seems ridiculous. Depending who my goalies were, I wouldn't trade Giordano for Rask straight up. Its a roto league so riding the hot players is more important than building a team that you think will be the best for the last few weeks of the season.
Boston is not as good as previous years, without Chara and Boychuk, they are not the same stingy defensive team. Look at Rask's numbers, he's very average at best.
Trade was reversed by commish anyway, so it looks like he did try to pull one over on the rest of the league.

    Corrupt Commish?

Thanks for the reply, but who exactly are the top 5 players and who are the decent positional players?
Giordano is the top ranked d-man right now and Howard is 78th overall, while Rask is 161st. Boston is not the same team it has been in the past. Braun is a droppable player, owned in 5% of leagues.
So if trading Rask for Howard is so much of a downgrade that the cost is Giordano, then I must not know anything about hockey.
Anyway, the commish reversed the trade saying something stupid about he meant to send it as a trade offer but was logged in as commish and instead authorized the trade. Once people questioned it, he realized what had happened and reversed it. Sounds fishy to me but obviously there was enough of a backlash, and even he knew he couldn't justify the deal.

I think it really depends who your other goalie(s) are. I would do Ovechkin for Byfuglien any day, its just a matter of whether you can buffer the downgrade in net.

Trade went down at 11:45pm last night between the commish and the last placed team. Prior to the trade, the last placed team hadn't been active in the league since Nov 22nd. He had, and still does have even after the trade, Zajac and Elias active (both on IR) and McDonough(not on IR) on his IR.

    So the trade:

Last place guy gets Tuuka Rask and Justin Braun
Commish gets Jimmy Howard and Mark Giordano

Am I right to demand some answers for this situation?
