Draft and Trade Talk Message Board

Would you give up Victor Cruz and Pierre Thomas to get Andre Johnson and Lamar Miller? I need some major depth help at RB, and I'm relatively strong at WR. But I think Cruz is primed for a pretty solid season. Here's my team:
QB - Ryan (Foles)
WR - Julio, Cruz, Keenan Allen (Reggie Wayne, Sanu)
RB - Lacy, Bernard (Thomas, Chris Johnson)
TE - Antonio Gates
So as you can see, my RB depth is horrible. I have a waiver claim out on Jerick McKinnon, but we use an action style waiver system and I imagine he's going to be a highly sought-after player.

I appreciate the advice. You're right, there will probably come a better time to add somebody. And I do luck out that Thomas plays the awful Cowboys D on Gio's bye. It's not a PPR league, though. I'm just generally not happy with my depth, so figured I should try using my best bench guy to improve in other areas. But you're probably right, it's not worth it just for Spiller. I'll try targeting some other guys.

Alright, thanks. My issue is that the teams in my league who need QB help are actually too good at RB. Like I can't use Foles and Thomas to get Alfred Morris or somebody like that. And I can't give up Bernard or Lacy, so it's a weird position to be in. Thomas just doesn't seem valuable enough to warrant a solid RB.
Let me know what you guys think of this trade:
My RB depth is terrible, which is why I want the upgrade from Thomas to Spiller. My other RBs are Lacy, Bernard and Chris Johnson. Foles is my backup QB behind Matt Ryan, so I'm not losing a ton there. And I think Torrey Smith is an interesting buy-low candidate. But what do you guys think? Am I giving up too much? Taking too big of a risk on an underperforming Smith and unpredictable Spiller?
What do you think of this trade:
The focus of this trade is on the improvement from Thomas to Spiller, since I think I need to deal Thomas now before Ingram comes back. My other RBs are Lacy, Gio Bernard and Chris Johnson. Foles is my backup QB behind Matt Ryan, and Reggie Wayne is part of a WR rotation (I also have Julio Jones, Victor Cruz and Keenan Allen). I think Torrey Smith is an interesting buy-low candidate. What do you guys think?
I have Nick Foles against the Jags and Matt Ryan in a possible shootout with the Saints. I also have a sneakier choice in Keenan Allen or Reggie Wayne. Allen would normally be the obvious choice, but he's going to be locked up on Patrick Peterson, while Wayne could be involved in another shootout in Colts vs. Broncos.
So which would you go with? Foles or Ryan? Wayne or Allen?

There are apparently some really short-sighted owners. The guy in my league who dropped Welker picked up Markus Wheaton.

Personally, I would drop Kelce and add Welker. Definitely don't drop any of those WR, but Kelce is more of an upside/potential pick right now. Welker is a proven commodity and could provide really solid depth after his suspension.

Thanks. I'm a little concerned with my RB depth. I was targeting Montee Ball for RB2, but he got taken way early. I'm a little wary of relying on Bernard, and I have no idea how productive CJ2K and Pierre Thomas will be).
I drafted fifth overall, and went with high-ceiling rookies late in the draft since it's a keeper league. What do you think?
QB- Foles (Matt Ryan)
WR- Julio, Keenan Allen, Victor Cruz (Reggie Wayne, Mike Evans, Marqise Lee)
RB- Lacy, Bernard (Chris Johnson, Pierre Thomas, Shonn Greene)
TE- Jordan Reed
I'll probably start Matt Ryan most weeks because I love getting the QB-WR combo with him and Julio. But I can't pass up starting Foles against the Jags in Week 1.
Drafted No. 5 overall, and this is a keeper league:
QB - Foles (Matt Ryan)
WR - Julio, Keenan Allen, Victor Cruz (Wayne, Mike Evans, Marqise Lee)
RB - Lacy, Bernard (Chris Johnson, Pierre Thomas, Shonn Greene)
TE - Jordan Reed
K - Blair Walsh
DEF - Cincy
