Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I myself am not a beginner, but i'm commish of a league where the majority are getting into fantasy baseball, and a few who are distant to baseball themselves but enjoy the competition involved (majority are familiar with fantasy leagues in general though)
Looking for the easiest set-up that will be easy to understand aswell as not scaring people off from updating their rosters mid-season.
First instinct is to go with H2H pts. That way some of the more novice guys can just go and see one stat (pts) on the free agent market and see who has the most. Rather than trying to get break down which stats they need for what position etc.
I've taken part in PTS leagues, but have never set one up myself so looking for advice to make sure it's balanced aswell as making it relatively simple.

Go nuts. Need something fresh for this season. This will get the creative juices flowing. Doesn't necessarily have to use one of my players names but since I'm gonna list some players ya might aswell. Not gonna list them all just a random bunch that could work.

Dealing with a similar situation in a points league. Only the cream of the crop in terms of closers are worth rostering statistically. I would be lying to say I wasn't worried about his job security when he gets back. Even with his repertoire. I'm probably still hanging onto him though.

I'm not too sure where you stand in the league. Seems you have a capable offense, even with considering it's a 10 teamer. Can't ignore the trade value though. All things being equal, I like that deal for you.

Really? I feel I could atleast get stable production at 3rd. Dozier avg/ops aside could be a quality 4 category guy again. I've never been a Lucroy owner, skeptical about keeping a catcher. Especially with one that doesn't really hit for that much power.
Revised list: Felix, Greinke, Desmond, Dozier, Marte, Kemp, [one of Frazier, Lucroy, Betances]
Trying to justify keeping Trumbo just because I need a slugger in here somewhere, but I can't tell myself to do it.

Nobody here has selected Verlander or Trumbo. I highly doubt posting worse players than those benefits the selection process.
Already have the following selected: Felix, Greinke, Samardzija, Desmond, Dozier.
Need 2 more out of (or if you disagree with my original selections feel free to create your own list):
Nobody has a crystal ball. Just looking for opinions. Not expecting Elite play until he retires but what are the chances he has 3-4 more "solid" seasons. Eating innings, winning games, etc. Would you deal any of Archer, Stroman or Wacha or him in a keeper league?
