Guys we took a unique approach to a problem we had in our league. One guy took two teams and was attempting to load one up. Maybe we were dim, but we just caught him this week and dropped him from the league. To be honest, I was suspicious but as League Manager I don't think its my job to keep someone from making a bad trade. Just try and stop collusion. But this went beyond that. Because of him, everything including the draft was manipulated. That changes the whole league. So, after we dropped him the two offending teams were stripped down to the players that were remaining since the original draft. The waivers were reverted to where they reflect the standings and some of the players were signed. Then every manager has chosen 20 players to "protect" and we are holding an expansion draft for the incoming teams. They will takeover the old organizations and be allowed to take a player from the current rosters. Each team can only lose one player, after that they are out of the draft. When the two new teams have finished making their expansion picks I will move them to the first two spots in the waiver and they can go free agent fishing.
One team, the one that was being used to feed the other has some good players. Ryan Braun, Cliff Lee, Lance Berkman, and Brandon Phillips are probably the best. This tram has 17 + two on the DL so it has 8 empty slots. 5 can be filled thru the expansion draft if you chose. It is in 3rd in its 6 team division.
To check it out.
The other team is in first and has Pujols,McCann, Howard, Suzuki, and Heath Bell. It has fewer players on its roster(13) so it will need to find a few more via trade or free agent.

I hope he stays a Sox. He is exactly what the Sox deserve and he is a jerk like most of their fans. Sox fans are like Braves fans in the 90's. You would think all of that failing would have taught them humility but instead they are just obnoxious. Give me a KC fan, Rockies fan, or a Pirates fan anyday. Hell, even a White Sox fan. They are real fans, not wannabe Yankee-type fans.
Unless some had the sense to boo Manny at Fenway. I said what Peter Gammons(see ESPN Insider for his blog this week-he NAILS Manny) said about Manny back in June when he assaulted the 62 year old traveling secretary and now he has gone out of his way to prove me right. He's a bad team mate and a bad person who is only about Manny and the money. He is so desperate to get that payday he doesn't even care that his teammates are trying to win a pennant. Bet you guys wish the team hadn't let him "be Manny" all those years now, huh?
So, I'm rooting for ya', Fake Sox! Keep Manny and let him rip your team apart! Manny being Manic! Its just too bad he can't go to NY so you can watch him in pinstripes like Johnny Damon.(Like we need another reason to hate the Yankees)
p.s. How's that road record going?

ESPN's Peter Gammons gives more insight to the walking rectum called Manny(note the last line in his article-he sums up Manny in one sentence perfectly). Don't get mad, Sox fans. After all, its just Manny being Manny.
copy and paste that

Learn to read so you won't look like such a jackass. This has been covered. He is a naturalized citizen and as such CAN be stripped of his citizenship for a variety of offenses.
That being said, it was hyperbole(look it up, I don't have time to educate you) said in jest.
Doesn't change that he is a jerk, selfish, and worthless as a human being. If it weren't for baseball he would be in jail for a nuimber of offenses because thats who this guy is.
Read the next post for follow up on what a "great guy" Manny is...

So you think Vick should have been left alone? That damn media blow that out too?
Last time I looked assault is still a crime. Maybe not in Boston, but in Houston where Manny committed his crime its still on the books. You can look it up if you don't believe me.

Read all of the posts, then reply. Might save time and keep out repetition. As posted before, that was tongue in cheek and we all know he is a naturalized citizen.

You would have to real, real desperate for saves to sign this clown. He won't help you anywhere else. Here's his stats this year:
2008 DET 15.2inn 5.17 1.34 1 sv
Even worse, his road ERA is close to 9! You would be better off keeping Rauch then signing Rodney.

Manny Ramirez is “tired” of the Boston Red Sox and would agree to a trade that would make both him and the team happy.
But he doesn’t think it will happen and Boston, battling for a playoff spot, needs the production of its cleanup hitter despite its oft-contentious relationship with him.
Four days before the non-waiver trading deadline, Ramirez said Sunday, “I’m tired of them. They’re tired of me.”
Well, well, well. Here is your Manny now, Red Sox fans. He is tired of the Sox and wants out. What a guy. What a team mate. In the middle of the pennant race Manny is thinking of who? Himself. But then again, that's just "Manny being Manny". A selfish jerk. Keep him, Boston. Your fans deserve 24 more like him on the roster. Too bad he will be in NY next year playing for the $$$$$$$$$.
And I accept the apologies of you all for your remarks in the previous post. Ah, being right is so sweet.

You still haven't given any points you have made in the conversation. How was Manny not given special treatment? Why is it okay he asaulted a 60+ year old man over baseball tickets? How does the alleged "internal reprimand" the Red Sox gave him suit what he did? Why have other players committed vitually the same transgression and recieved far stiffer consequences?
My answers: He was, its not, it doesn't come close, and because he is Manny and the Red Sox decided that winningwas more important than doing what is right.

Could it be that Manny actions were because he has hit one homerun since June11? His average has gone from .305 to .283 in that same span.
