so, you think longo will be more consistent based upon what exactly? He has been inconsistent his entire career. So, what will suddenly change that? You just have a feeling? Fantasy leagues aren't won based off of feelings, they are won based off results. Anyway, I would keep Longo over Davis bc Longo is simply a better player than Davis and has outperformed him most of their respective careers.

I don't get it, wouldn't the two and three seeds play one another anyway and the one seed play the four? I don't see the benefit but I think it is fine and I would do what I felt was best for my team and he clearly is.

you deserve to lose if you have to ask this question. Reddick is garbage, and his has been two years since he did anything relevant, while Pagan is a consistent contributor that will help your team succeed. It makes no sense that Reddick is owned and Pagan isn't.

aside from the blow up, he had an era under two last month. so, yeah, it really was just one bad outing. look up the numbers before you spout off. he did give up single runs in his previous two outings before that

here is a list that was updated 5 years ago, you can add a few to it I am sure. All these are from Latin America.
Tejada, Furcal, Colon, Octavio Dotel, David Ortiz, Manny Aybar, Deivi Cruz, Juan Guzman, Ramon Ortiz, Alfonzo Soriano, Luis Vizcaino, Enrique Wilson, Adrian Beltre, Edgar Renteria, Esteban Yan, and Wilson Betemit.
you already said his ceiling is higher so I am asking what his ceiling is. I think Bruce's ceiling is 275-40-110-85-12. So, if Soler is higher, what is it. I am interested bc I own and am keeping both in my keeper league.

I would not cut him anyway, it is one bad outing! Chapman had an outing where he walked every batter he faced and gave up 4 runs. He recovered just fine. Koji is clearly tired but I think he will work through it. I would bet that he delivers a few more saves with an era around 3 and a half the rest of the way and a whip just over 1. He is still a good option when he returns to his closer role. If Farrell isn't going to shut him down, he will let him close since it isn't a penant chase for them. I am pretty sure they would shut him down rather than remove him from the closer role. The biggest problem is when will he return.

That was pretty much my thinking, I think with what he has already done, he could hit 220 with 3 or 4 more hrs the rest of the way and still be around the top 100

Jay Bruce, not even close. He has had a lost year but his career track record suggests that he can rebound just fine and Kemp is one ankle injury away from his career being over. Year to year, Bruce had always been more consistent until this year.

Well, I believe they are similar in age. I never buy into the age of dominican players, half are lieing so I add a couple years to reported age. I think Bruce will rebound next year, everything you see looking at his career numbers points to this just being a lost season. He has a very solid track record as a borderline top 50 guy. I think that is the ceiling for Soler long term so it would make less sense in a keeper league because it is a bigger gamble there
If Soler continues to produce say half as well as he has, how high will he be on most draft boards heading into next year? I am keeping him in my league but would like to know about where his value could get to with a strong September.
Just curious how high you think he can move up on draft boards for next year if he produces half as well as he has thus far. I am keeping him in a keeper league and just gauging his value. I personally feel he can get where Billy Hamilton was before this year.
