Lol I do have sp, they're more obvious choices for me tho. Thanks for the advice. It's hard to give up on Moose. But Middlebrooks probably will produce more next season
I can keep 8, who should I keep? Standard scoring
C: Jesus Montero, Carlos Santana
1b: Billy Butler
2b: Robbie Cano
3b: Mike Moustakas, Will Middlebrooks, Manny Machado
Ss: Machado(if he even gets se elig)
Of: Curtis Granderson, Mike Trout, Brett Gardner
The rest aren't worth mentioning. I have a real logjam at 3b. I'm assuming Machado won't get ss elig. I think Cano and Trout are no brainers. I'm leaning towards keeping both catchers, so I can't really keep more than 1 3b. Am I hamstringing myself by keeping both catchers? It's hard to give up on monetero's potential but I don't know how long he'll keep catcher elig. Any advice?

I think Cuddyer, he has eligibility at more positions, usually bats for higher average and has some pop. Wiggington is good for 20-25 hrs and maybe a 250ish BA. They're pretty close though
In a keeper league, which would you prefer to have? Freeman's starting to heat up a bit and he has proved he can hit MLB pitching, whereas Rizzo is still scuffling a bit. Any thoughts?

Hey, Thanks for the reply. The league is 14 teams deep. I'm trying to get a rough draft on my keepers. I can see how they all do in spring to finalize my decisions.
My issue with Walker is that he's a 2B. I like his production, but I have Cano there. If he keeps 3B eligibility next year, I'd be much more tempted to keep him. I'll probably keep Santana since there's no platoon for him like Tampa did with Jaso last year. If Montero wins the job out of spring, I could probably move him or Santana for a big upgrade to whoever has an aging catcher on his team. It's hard to give up on the potential in these keepers. Especially if Montero and Jennings live up to their hype. My gamble is that most teams have a good first baseman that they'll probably keep, so I can probably snag Butler in the draft.
I tend to agree with you on the pitching keepers. I waffle between Cueto and Volquez, because I feel like Volquez can be so dominant if he comes back from TJ surgery strong. He shows some nice improvements at the end of last year. I guess I'll have to monitor his and Cueto's spring.
Thanks for the advice. Wish draft time would come sooner..
So, I recently took over a last place team in a keeper league. I get to keep 6 bats, 2 SP, 1 P and 1 RP. The league is pretty deep, I picked up a lot of top rookies/prospects in the hopes they come thru and build my team back up.
My team is:
Carlos Santana - C
Billy Butler - 1B
Robinson Cano - 2B
Jimmy Rollins - SS
Neil Walker - 2B/3B(don't think he'll keep that next year tho)
Curtis Granderson - OF
Travis Snider - OF
Austin Jackson - OF
Desmond Jennings - OF
Logan Morrison - 1B/OF
Jesus Montero - C
John Jaso - C
Johnny Cueto - SP
Gio Gonzalez - SP
Jair Jurrjens - SP
Mat Latos - SP
Javier Vazquez - SP
Edinson Volquez - SP
Randy Wells - SP
Rafael Soriano - RP
Leo Nunez - RP
I'm leaning towards Cano, Santana, Jennings, Snider, Montero and either Butler or Morrison
Pitchers, I'd go with Latos, Gio Gonzalez, Edinson Volquez and Soriano

According to yahoo's position eligibility, they need to make 5 starts at the position before they become eligible for that position. So that would mean 5 starts for CJ Wilson, I would assume. I know Jose Lopez and Gordan Beckham are supposed to get new eligibility soon, and I'm waiting on that to happen

Is this a keeper league? You may have to hope he'll do a 2 for 1 trade. I think Nelson Cruz may be the closest thing I'd value anywhere near Jurrjens.

Forte will only lose points for fumbles recovered by the defense, not by the offense. He only lost one that was recovered by the defense, so it's only -2 for him, not -4

I'm not really too sure how you've been losing with that team. The only thing I can think of is to try to shop Schaub for a top tier receiver, or Ray Rice for another top tier RB

This week was just a high scoring week for a few players. Tom Brady, Randy Moss, Wes Welker, MJD and a few others had really good games..If someone was lucky enough to have a few of them, it makes for a rough week for their opponent
Does Yahoo! take into account the decimals for the win? Like if I'm winning 106.36 to 106.14, it will be a win, not a tie right? Just wondering..Past years, they always rounded down

You can probably get a better receiver than Maclin for Benson, to be honest. I'd try to go bigger for him. He's leading the league in rushing yards, and Cincy is doin pretty good for now
