Did you's guys hear about this kid in Chicago named Jose Abreu? He's got like 15HR and some bozo just offered to trade him to me for my Emilio Bonifacio! Do you guys think that's a good deal for me? Would it get vetoed? Oh wait...I thought this was a baseball forum, but it looks like I just mistakenly walked into the ladies bathroom and a bunch of girls are fighting over who's fake #$%$ look the best. Can we all just drop this sillyness and get back to baseball now? Thank you's one and all.

Abreu is on pace to hit 60HR. Moss is on pace to hit like 25. The truth is somewhere in the middle but I would suspect that Abreu will hit considerably more HR than Moss. They might end up with similar BA...but the HR & RBI totals should be significantly higher for Abreu.

They've been pitching him outside all year...he has 7 opposite field HR. I don't think he's going to hit 60 HR - but he has the ability to hit 40 - this year. I have seen enough MLB baseball to know a truly special hitter when I see one...and if you ever see this guy in person at the plate you instantly know he is special - even all the pro players say that about him. Go see him live...then come back and talk to us. I have been to 7 Sox games this year...this guy is as real as they come.

Start what? As long as the guys in front of him get on base and the guy behind him remains respectable...they HAVE to pitch to him. The White Sox have the best offense in the AL and it 's not just Abreu.

What do you mean wait til they quit pitching to him? At least HALF of his HR are to the opposite field. The guy uses every inch of the plate and has power to go out no matter where the ball is pitched. Lucky to reach 30HR...now THAT is funny.

I keep passing over Hammel because my past experiences with him have been something like this---- add him, wake up next morning turn on puter, drop Hammel, hope my opponent starts someone who will give up 9 runs in 2 innings to balance out the damage Hammel did to me. McHugh I honestly just heard of him today. I think I will pass after looking at his Hammel-like career numbers.

I agree...Dozier is likely to hit 30 HR and drive in 100 RBI and he's on pace to get over 35SB...I don't see this as a steal the other way at all.

I watch plenty...I'm just trying to understand what you are basing this on - that Moss Abreu will post comparable stat lines - when everything that both are producing says that is not the case.

Who replaces Gordon & Dozier in your lineup? What OF are you benching? I'm assuming Dozier was your 2B & Gordon was your SS. If you made this deal 5 weeks ago I think it would definitely be a steal...and it would probably have been vetoed. But now there is no question about whether Gordon or Dozier is for real. They are. Today however, the question is will Adam Jones hit 30HR, 100R, 100+ RBBI.

Dee Gordon is out Billy Hamiltoning the highly over rated Billy Hamilton!!! Folks drafted Billy in the early rounds and I got Gordon off the FA scrap pile. I don't care if you say Gordon is a 1 trick pony. I drafted Profar at the bottom of the draft in 3 leagues and the day Profar went down I grabbed Gordon in 2 leagues. Nobody that knows baseball expects Dee to do anything other than get on base steal 2nd..and score. That's it. That is his job. At his current pace Gordon is going to steal 60-70 bases and score 70+ runs. I'll take it...he complements both of my teams quite nicely thank you. My only regret is I didn't grab him for my 3rd team.

If you're giving up Gio to get Rios...that would be a good deal for you. Rios was a Top 35 player last year and he's batting like .330BA right now. If you're offered that deal - you might want to take it, He'll be good for 15-20HR but his real value will be the 80R, 80RBI, and 35-40 SB...along with a solid BA.

I picked up Dunn when Trumbo went down and still own him. Actually Dunn's awful BA & K's aren't nearly as bad as they've been in previous years. He's batting a very respectable .273BA which is a whole 100 points higher than his BA last season! His number of ABs is considerably lower than you would want - so far only 88AB but he is on pace to hit 30HR. Frankly I had Dunn & Trumbo & Alvarez on my team last year...and dispite all their K's and horrible BAs...still got to the championship. Butler looks like he's in a total funk this year...I have always avoided him. No reason not to take Dunn unless there's somebody better available.

I guess you could try to justify this trade by saying that Harper was a Top 12 draft pick and Justin is having a near MVP type season. You could scream that justification till the cows come home and you are blue in the face but no owner in their right mind gives up 2 guys who will certainly be #1, #2 or #3 (Goldy) and Top 20(Gomez) for that group - and especially when the best player he's getting (Bryce) won't see any action until July and possibly August. Completely bogus deal. Yes it should be vetoed.

The question was which will produce MORE this year not LESS. Ozuna has 17R, 6HR, 21RBI. Ozuna is batting .271. Springer has 5R, 1HR, 7RBI. Springer is batting .217. Spring has struck out 30 times in 83 AB. He should be in the minors.
