Marcum is more valuable. As a pitcher, he is more likely to either start slow, or provide scarily volatile numbers early. Now I'm a little biased because I think he's actually a very good pitcher and will almost certainly provide better value by year's end. The bottom line is Gordon could be a flash in the pan, whereas the odds heavily favor Marcum giving you a good or very good year. But no, I wouldn't say rob, exactly.
