Draft and Trade Talk Message Board

Well when you put like that it actually looks like a good deal for you. All right, time to leave my lair and stock up on groceries for the NFL playoffs. Good Luck!

I'm not as sure as the other posters that this is such a slam-dunk. Conley's a top 10 PG and Howard's only achilles heel is his FT%. If this is a redraft league (just this year) you need to take a look at your standings and where you're strong and weak. If you also have Wall and Lowry and maybe Collison or something, then yes: accept the trade for Davis immediately. If this is a keeper league and you're not in the top 3 in the standings right now, then accept the trade immediately. But if you're in a redraft league and you're near the top of the standings and Conley is one of your top 2 PGs and you already have other PF/Cs with low FT% like Drummond or Jordan and you're already tanking TOs, then you might be better off keeping Conley and Howard because as good as Davis is, you'd be wasting his strengths on the roster you have. Good Luck!

I come from the school of "You can never have too many point guards" but if you insist on doing deals, I would first check your standings/stats to see where you are weakest and do the deal that addresses that weakness. I happen to LOVE Lillard so you'd have to pry him out of my cold dead hands. Having said that, Cousins is the guy you want. Jefferson has been injured and inconsistent (which is a shame, because he's really good when healthy) Hill is good, but not dominant, Favors and Lopez are good at those slots but Noel and Henson don't really help your frontline (or team) so they're a little misleading when looking at your roster.
Warning: I personally have the heebie-jeebies when it comes to Lebron's health. LBJ, Westbrook, Durant, while not in the same class of #$%$ as Rose, are very worrisome to me healthwise and would be traded away on ALL of my teams. What you really need to do, if at all possible, is dump Rose or Jefferson off in a deal even if you have to package them with gold like Lillard.
If the only choices are trade 1 and trade 2 I strongly vote for trade 1 (Cousins). Good Luck!

MCW is not a bum, although I admit he's a little frustrating to own in fantasy. I would take MCW in a heartbeat and not look back at all. Rose is not only injury-prone, but he clearly takes every opportunity to screw fantasy owners by NOT PLAYING. Look, I don't know about you, but I pay these guys good money to play on my fantasy teams, and I will NOT accept shirking!! MCW at least does what a PG is supposed to do: dish out assists. He's currenlty averaging 7.4 ASP for a top 8 rank in the category. Rose is not even in the top 25!!!? Geez. Finally, if you are the player with Rose, I might still try to market him as the star player that we see in spurts to get as much as possible for him. But that's just tradecraft. Good Luck!

Full disclosure: I hate Mello.
I take Wiggins in a heartbeat. He has been improving in his rookie season, and should proivide decent value ROS. Mello is a top 20 player when healthy but he's getting older and has a really bad attitude. He hates being on this sucky NY team but doesn't have the leadership chops to bring them up and IT SHOWS. I am convinced that Mello looks at what happened to Kobe and is preserving his health for future seasons when the Knicks might actually make the playoffs. But that is just my gut read and pure speculation. Good Luck!

If it's Jeff Green in Boston, I'm not sure why you're asking the question. Green is like #78 overall on the year and Smart is nowhere.

It would be a lot more helpful if you were specific. But I'll assume you are referring to the Green to memphis situation. Look, go ahead and drop Green if you think you're that smart, but Smart has shown NO indications of being Jeff Green even if he gets his old slot in the line-up.

Grab the Blue Light Special NOW!!! Gordon is a sneeze away from the infirmary and the Prophet's disciple could be a one-week wonder. Good Luck!

Personally, I would do that trade sight unseen. Kobe's big edge here is his scoring (23 PPG) but he's old and creaky and he's on a terrible team. Green is already way ahead of him in performance (#22 vs #108) and Reggie Jackson has Thunder-Karma upside....which means that as much as I might like Durant and Westbrook, my money is on one of them being sidelined again, allowing Reggie to return to fantasy relevance any day now. Good Luck!

For once I agree with the crowd: Cousins in this deal. For some reason there's a lot of hate for Hibbert, but when I look at his numbers, he seems to produce what i want from a big man in roster: boards and blocks. This deal is even easier to accept if it's a keeper league, as I am absolutely convinced Cousins is actually IMPROVING!!

Off Constantly and Team #3 were not bad. No way I would take Bomnation because whoever drafted that team diod an awful job. Good Luck though!!

You probably take Harden in that deal, but not if not if you're in a huge league (14+ teams). The two players combine for better numbers than Harden gives you, so for me the key is the caliber of player available to me to pair with Hared for my before and after comparison. In a huge league, the players available will be much weaker so it's not clear that getting Harden is the best bet. Collison and Jennings avergae more than 12 APG together, so they're more valuable than their "name brands" might indicate. Good Luck!

NO. I suppose it could be set-up that way though, but I have little faith in getting EVERYONE back, which is the best way to do a keeper.

I think you did great. I don't trust Mello; he's getting old and clunky, and he hates life on a sucky Knicks team. Kawahi is already the star of a playoff bound solid team, so if you're in H2H, the deal is even sweeter for you. Good Job!
