Draft and Trade Talk Message Board

They are going to ride Bailey until he blows a few. Remember the Sox traded for Bailey last year to use him as a closer.

Only a matter of time before Corbin comes back to earth and I don't think Fernandez is anything special. If you need a couple of good starts go with the hot hand in Corbin, if you can with stand the storm I say hang on to Vogelsong.

Heavily depends on what the rest of the roster looks like but if you had an empty team strictly based on who ends highest in rankings I'd say Cutch is #1 overall but all three are going to end up very close to each other.
Mind checking mine out?

How does the rest of the league roll as far as closers? Have you lost the first couple of weeks in saves? Janssen will be a closer (your guess is as good as mine as to when) and there is certainly a chance that bailey doesnt keep the job in 1-2 weeks when Han comes back.
For me I'd keep JJ for now but I have a fantasy crush on Josh killing it in Toronto.
Mind answering mine?

Definitely overrated but still a draftable, ownable, SP. I avoided Grienke in all my drafts but if pick 210 came around and it was between him and Wei-Yin Chen I'm picking Grienke.

Can we be in the same league next year? I'd love to just scoop all the guys you drop and don't draft.
Stanton, Greinke, Lawrie as my last 3 picks? Sign me up.
Either you play in a 2 man league with your cat or you have no idea what is going on. Stick to watching golf my delusional elder.

I'm done feeding the troll.
You are right. Please write a blog on how everyone should NEVER draft Stanton as he is a hack and does not belong on any fantasy roster. If you have the last pick in a 20 team fantasy draft and you have to pick Brandon Barnes or Stanton, pick Brandon #$%$ it! Have two picks? Get Schumaker before you get Stanton! Stanton is a bum and doesn't belong anywhere near a fantasy roster!!!
All follow the great Mr. Strong!!!

You are arguing that Stanton shouldn't be owned. You can not honestly tell me that if he was a FA you would let him sit there. Give me a break man. Your brought him up so both Willingham or Stanton get dropped, who you picking up?
If you want to argue value, I definitely agree with you. He is not a top 10 player and anyone who drafted him expecting him to be is "STOOPID". But you aren't arguing value.
Change your argument so you don't sound like a bum.

How many teams?
If you have to drop I'd go:
1) Marcum but he will be back in less than 14 day...
3) Tex (still a while out and someone will pick him up)
The other 2, no way.

You really hate these two huh?
If you say Stanton has NO potential I have a hard time having an intelligent conversation with you. The guy can hit it a ton (37 HRs last year - top 10 in the league). That is reason enough to own him.
If you want to argue that he isn't top 10 fantasy worthy that is fine, but to say he should be a FA is just idiotic.
I wish I was in your league if you were just going to keep not drafting him regardless of what pick.

If you think Pablo will stay healthy that side has a slight advantage but I personally put that right around a 5% chance of happening.

Thanks man - I'm a fan of Haren as well just so nervous that he will get injured. On the other hand Melky is in a loaded lineup and should be seeing plenty of good pitches to hit.
Any other opinions out there would be greatly appreciated!

Anytime you have miggy you have a shot!
But overall I like the team - here's to hoping reyes and napoli stay healthy and ellsbury repeats 2011!
Definitely should be in consideration baring any major injuries.
