  • Which outfielder should i target and do you think I can get for him?

  • i could use an outfielder and he could use 3b. FAir deal?

  • I tend to think his value is higher at 3rd but I have him at 1b right now and drafted a 3b in sandoval. I have prince fieldner, hosmer and kendry morales though. Plus moustakis. Im pretty loaded at the corners i feel. who would you start at 1st and 3rd and two util spots? Right now im going with miggy at 1b, sandoval at 3rd and hosmer and fielder at util with moustakis and morales on my bench.

ortiz is usually a huge sleeper in the 8th round. he's a top tier player. this year in the 3rd was a bit much. But he is being drafted where he should be for once.

but it's true that ortiz is better than all those guys. FIelder is a nice sleeper. He has potential to be but i dont have as much faith in him. He could tail off or make a comeback.

this is who went around where i took strasburg and price. Bumgarner, Sale, brantley, arendado, dickerson, desmond, ellsbury, braun, victor martinez. I honestly would have reached on david ortiz because that thats a lot of unproven and players who are yeah. Buster posey went in there. But yeah, carlos gonzalez, greinke.. Ortiz. Pujols. Kinsler. I took price and fielder. I probably would have taken ortiz, pujols or kinsler if they had slid over fielder. I might offer up fielder for ortiz and see if he bites.

I don't see how anyone can sit there and tell me Cabrera, Strasburg, Price, Fielder, Chapman, Sandoval, Dozier, Bruce, Ozuna, Perez aren't good and solid first 10 picks. And the rest of my guys arent good sleepers and fliers. Hamilton and Nathan are going on my DL,

I think l ike i said if you at the rankings early i was taking the best player i could considering what iw as looking at. The other guys who i may have liked better were not ranked as high so i thought they might be there with my next pick. that wasnt the case.

I think you are right you can't fix logic. Because I said i hurt my batting average and missed a steal guy and have to repair the end of my bullpen and play waivers. But logic and improving those thigns is beyond you. I dont think my draft was perfect. Like isaid there were other guys i was looking at where i could have done that and fixed those things but just how the draft fell. I didnt expect a lot of those guys to go so soon.

then why do i usually win with a good pitching staff and solid hitting? There are equal categories on both sides!

there were players i was trying to get. Melky Cabera was one. MAybe hurt my bullpen a bit but all that stuff is what waivers is for anyways. I got Melky and blackmon off waivers last year. I have Hunter and Myers for now...

I don't see where i could have done better looking at players taht were going around where i was drafting. So I hurt my batting average a bit. Maybe lost a steal guy in there somewhere. Still tried to get the most upside i could and guys i feel like should be good.

    my draft went like this

    1. (3) Miguel Cabrera 1B,3B
    2. (22) Stephen Strasburg SP
    3. (27) David Price SP
    4. (46) Prince Fielder 1B
    5. (51) Aroldis Chapman RP
    6. (70) Pablo Sandoval 3B
    7. (75) Brian Dozier 2B
    8. (94) Jay Bruce OF
    9. (99) Marcell Ozuna OF
    10. (118) Salvador Pérez C
    11. (123) Eric Hosmer 1B
    12. (142) Xander Bogaerts 3B,SS
    13. (147) Yordano Ventura SP
    14. (166) Francisco Rodríguez RP
    15. (171) Clay Buchholz SP
    16. (190) Torii Hunter OF
    17. (195) Wil Myers OF
    18. (214) Joe Nathan RP
    19. (219) Danny Duffy SP,RP
    20. (238) Josh Hamilton OF
    21. (243) Mike Moustakas 3B
    22. (262) Bobby Parnell RP
    23. (267) Edinson Vólquez SP

Felix was off the board when i took strasburg. It was strasburg. could have taken bumgarner... but that was what was left. 3rd round it was price or i could have reached on ortiz and taken betts in the 5th. he went right after i took chapman. Alex Gordon i wanted and went right after i took sandoval. Could have taken Gordon then Zimmerman over bruce. could have taken pedroia over dozier. I dont see where i really lost out though. Got price. ended up with fielder. Got bruce and ozuna instead of gordon and betts. sandoval and dozier over pedroia and zimmerman. seems like who i was looking at and who i ended up with is about the same. I could have taken soria and wade davis where i took hunter and myers. they went right after and i was looking at them. got nathan and parnell and got some decent depth in my outfield. It doesnt matter. It's a 12 team. Where i was picking compared to what other people were taking I think i took the right guys. Also wanted kuji uehara. He went 13th round. I could have taken him where i took hosmer and would have taken hosmer anyways where i took k-rod. So i got hosmer and krod. I dont see the loss their either too much.

i'm not really seeing it that way. I usually do well in this stuff. I see it like i have sleepers. There were spots where i could have gone another direction. I like a lot of royals and red sox players as sleepers this year. i could have gone ortiz, betts, alex gordon, zimmerman, shields, soria, davis but i would have been reaching instead i went price, fielder, sandoval, bruce, ozuna, hunter and myers and picked up nathan and parnell later who can be replaced. just how the draft fell. I was picking about where they were rated. i would have rathered felix hernandez if he was there but he wasn't. got strasburg hopefully he does alright. i have upper echelon top tier players with my first 5 picks. cabrera, strasburg, price and fielder then i got chapman. i dont see what is wrong with that. sandoval, dozier(could have taken pedroia here but again going by ranks dozier was teh better pick). Then i took Bruce, Ozuna and Salvador Perez. I dont see where my drafting was out of whack. After that im picking sleepers and it doesnt matter where they are ranked. Hosmer, Buchholz, Ventura, Duffy, Myers all solid sleepers imo. Hunter, Hamilton, Volquez, Nathan and Parnell. Just end of draft with some upside.

  • Drafted last night and starts week 3. I don't understand that but 12 team h2h. I think I did alright but might have missed a few spots. I have a waiver in for a reliever and bat with Hamilton and Nathan going on the dl.

    1b-Cabrera
    2b-Dozier
    SS-Bogarts
    3b-Sandoval

    OF-Ozuna
    OF-Hunter
    Util-Fielder
    Util-Hosmer
    B-Myers
    B-Hamilton
    B-Moustakis

SP-Strasburg, Price, Ventura, Buchholz, Duffy, Volquez
    RP-Chapman, K-Rod, Nathan, Parnell

  • Brewer
    Gilchrist
    Bargnani

im leaning towards brewer. I have gilchrist right now. But brewer hits 3's and im loaded in boards as it is. he also has sg/sf eligibility which should help me going forward since I have mo and kemba as well who are my only sg's behind butler right now.

Gilchrist has been real solid though. He just doesn't hit 3's and maybe gets a steal and block a game. percentage and turnovers he's nice though. I figure if I need his boards at any point there are guys like bass out there who are just as good. Still tough to waive him though due to position elibility.

  • trying to figure out a way to round out my roster. 10 team h2h. I figure I could use another 3 pt shooter. I picked up gilchrist and don't really need the rebounds but he's been playing well and as good as any one on waivers. Smart and Rondo are the two guys really not giving me stats. Smart gets steals though and a 3 every so often. Rondo is there for assists but he's really doing nothing and not having a guy who can hit a 3 there hurts. What would you do with my team? Looking at Canaan, Gerald Henderson, Bargnani, Jeremy Lin are probably the best free agents. Shved is out there too.. Shroder. Not much else. Mclemore..

My way of thinking is pure genius if you think about it lol. The Celtics with all these draft picks are going to get those centers eventually. I missed some things but if you think about what im doing it makes sense why my last spot comes down to bargs or giclhrist. It's KO or Bass. I've also looked at bass who si a free agent but for fantasy I think gilchrist is better. more upside. Carroll is like my Jerebko right now and 3 point specialist. Best I could do.

weird thing is I held rondo for assists and he's still better than whats on waivers for that. I've looked at players like turner and lin and shroder who are all out there but holding rondo. like I was saying in my other post there the 3 picks I questioned at draft were rondo, Drummond(ft's) and Duncan(age) during the draft. I wanted the gasol brothers and another pg. I got one in kemba. now jus ttrying to fill out my roster. I have to live with those 3 picks. The guy who drafted gasol wanted Drummond too during the draft. I heard him he was like I wanted Drummond. I should have been smart enough to offer him Drummond for gasol and Duncan for pau but I wasn't smart enough to do that. now jus ttrying to fill out my roster. My team is so dominant in rebounds, blocks, steals, assists, points. but could be better. im punting free throw percentage and trying not to kill my turnovers while being as strong across the board as I can be.

Random information but the Celtics are looking pretty good with Isiaah Thomas, Smart, Turner and BRadley at guards. I tried to emulate that in fantasy with westbrook, kemba, rondo, smart and playing the hot hand in mo wil. Sully should be a beast eventually if he can ever get his health straight. Turner is more fits a role w here rondo demanded minutes. The Celtics have Zeller and guys like bass and need players like the gasol brothers at center or a shot blocking presense. I tried to emulate that somewhat although I went the punt ft percentage route is how I see it. PLayers like KO and Mirotic had me thinking of a guy like Bargs to fill that role. GIlchrist is like my Brandon bass and I have Aldridige and FAvors as my sully. Wouldn't surprise me if Ainge extends Bass as Sully insurance because he's a good player to have. Crowder, young. I have Green and Butler.
