The problem is that even if Crosby wins the scoring title by 10 points - there is a good chance he wouldn't be as valuable as those other 4.
All of those other guys can be expected to have around 40 goals (or high 30s) at a minimum, each with an upside to exceed 50. There are fewer goals scored than assists recorded; therefore, a goal is more valuable than an assist for fantasy purposes.
Obviously, I realize Crosby has scored over 50 goals before, but this has only occurred once and he has finished below 40 goals every other season. Last year, playing almost every game, he finished with 28. A big reason for the low goal totals is his shot totals are not as high as the others (another factor against Crosby - for the other 4). He definitely opts to pass a lot more than these other guys, and I would expect that to continue with Kessel on his line now.

Looks like TJ Brodie was placed on the IR yesterday. I think I remember from last year that Yahoo was generally pretty slow at reflecting IR changes for hockey. This is obviously a huge annoyance.

Agree, makes no sense. The chances McDavid outperforms Ovechkin as a rookie are slim, and not sure why you need to give the better goalie here when you are giving up a top 5 player for an unproven commodity?
Not horrible, but I think you are lacking a bit in some offensive categories and I think this stems from weakness on defense and picking Lundqvist in the 1st round. I think this generally tends to always be a mistake given that you can usually find high quality goaltenders in the next couple of round and you usually can't find the offensive production of a 1st round skater.
I agree with Mike P. Bottom half of first round is about right to me. Obviously, you should be taking your Crosby, Stamkos, Ovechkin, Seguins, etc who can already put up 90+ points and 40+ goals and are still quite young before McDavid.
Does appear that Chit Chat lost to Crazy Frogs in the semi finals in the playoffs. Nothing strange here at all. In H2H, you need to win the playoffs to win your league (never would have thought this is something that would ever need to be explained).
Bryant, Pollock, Stanton are easy... Davis should be a decent keeper depending on where he ends up... for the 5th keeper, I suppose I would go Seager. If you insist on keeping a pitcher, it should be deGrom over Sale.
My league had finals last week, so that mitigates some of the shutdowns, days off given to stars. etc. You still get affected by those things but not near to the extent of having the final in the last week. If that is still not acceptable, you are probably better off playing roto where these things won't destroy your chances of winning the league.
Schwarber (FYI - he does have C eligibility next year), Encarnacion, Cano, Donaldson, Correa, Cargo, Springer, Puig, Tulowitzki, Scherzer, Seager, Davis
12 team H2H - can keep 8 - standard categories plus OPS, HLDs
In fact, I do not jest. Try the following parameters in your search of the player list:
STATUS: All Players
POSITION: All Pitchers
STATS: Season (std dev)
Sort by total.
Akeel Morris currently tops the list - actually increasing over yesterday's total to 24.83. Chad Smith ranks 2nd (for pitchers) - also increasing over yesterday - at 12.24.
Your list is missing Akeel Morris with a leading 24.79 standard deviation, and Chad Smith who would be 19th on your list (after factoring in Morris as well) with a 12.22 standard deviation.
