Draft and Trade Talk Message Board

I drafted brown also in a 12 man league, and I decided to hold onto him. He will continually contribute in PIMs for the least, and his season can only get better. I still think he will get 50+ points, meaning the next 2/3 of the season will be a big one for him. He is in the prime of his career and there is no way his number remain as they are now. Keep hold on him, he's going to get hot soon

I got stamkos too in a 12 man league so you can surely understand the gravity of the hit I took from losing him, however I am not in the same position as you as i'm still in 5th. His recovery seems to be progressing at an inhuman rate, I asked several doctors with whom I go to school with and they said that for this sort of injury, it is unbelievable how rapidly he started walking without a boot.
That being said, I would NOT suggest trading Stamkos, let alone only for Spezza. He is on track to make a comeback for the second half of the FANTASY season, and you will horribly regret having traded him away. It is normal that you are panicking since you are at the bottom of the pack currently, but look at what your weaknesses are before you make this trade. Maybe you are losing your goalie categories? Maybe you are consistently losing shots?
I would suggesting looking at the waver wire to boost up your team first. I've picked up players that have been immensely contributing in all categories such as: Zibanejad, Nyquist, I already had Hanzal since the beginning but if he's available snag him. You won't salvage your season with 1 player, try to pick up what you are lacking.

I like Stepan. I have him in my league as he is currently immensely underperforming. Stepan has a HUGE upwards potential from his current scoring. Kane is solid for shots and hits, but his +/- might hurt you. If you can take the hit in +/- and need shots and hits i would go for E Kane. If you need any of the standard points, including PPP, I would take Stepan because I think this season he will outperform E Kane. However, i think next year E Kane is going to break out into top 15 player

The only way the other manager would accept this trade is if he is in DESPERATE need for a goalie. Otherwise there is no way it would run through. Shaw is over-performing immensely, even playing on 2nd line.

Malkin and Neal will have same amount of PPP, Doan has a huge upswing in HITS category, Tavares has category coverage all over the place and Neal shoots like crazy. It very much depends on what you need help in, but there is no way that trade would go through. You would need to sub out Doan.

I'd have to go with Team 2. Eriksson will heat up and get the amount of points he usually gets while keeping his +/- pretty solid and OEL is going to have a killer season. Regardless, its a pretty close deal

Stewart no brainer. Gets 3rd line minutes and 2nd line PP where Silfverberg is huge role in anaheim and should get 55-60 points

Absolutely do not do this trade. Stamkos is going to get you ridiculous power-play points and shots while Duchene is going to have a monster season. DONT do this

I like your team up front, especially Silfverberg ( I drafed him in the 16th last week also). Your defense are fair, except wisniewski might harm your +/-. Your goalie situation however I don't like. You have no clear cut 1st goalie. None of those are workhorse goalies and its possible you can have a week where none of those goalies start. I very strongly suggest you make a package deal for a high workload goalie
Basically had my draft tonight. 12man H2H with these categories (I was 2nd overall):
G,A,+/-,PIM,PPP,SOG - W,GAA,SA%,SO
C: Stamkos, Stepan
LW: Hall, Eriksson
RW: Brown, Callahan
D: Webber, Kronwall, Phaneuf
G: Niemi, Varlamov
Bench: Bozak, Johansson, Burrows, Steen, Silfverberg, Stafford
Some Feedback would be great. I currently have pending on waiver pickup of Abdelkader while Silfverberg is on IR.

I would say your team is above average for sure. You have 2 goalies at least that will have a sure fire 80% starts, only thing is Price might not get the GAA/SA% you need.
As for your Defense, they are pretty decent but +/- might hurt you with jack johnson & OEL. You are going to have a decent amount of shots though.
Your forwards are Goal heavy, thats clear, and weak in the assist category. I think that Iginla is going to have a fantastic season so good pick on there. Overall your team is above average.
I'm assuming you had the 2nd pick in a 12 man snake draft which is what I have in my live draft tomorrow night. I was wondering if you could walk me through your first 5 picks so I could get an idea of how it is.
