I would be honored to be in this league, I pay great attention to my fantasy teams, i havent gotten the chance to start playing as i have been studying abroad, i am back in the states and this is the first thing i looked up online...i spend a great deal of time on my teams, stats, trades, etc... i will not quit, it is not an option. This team isn't great, but it has the talent to build for the future while still being competitive. My team name will Be the Las Vegas Gold Sox. If you you were to do a trade for Heyward where you gave away a lot of talent here are a few things to mind...
I actually think all the players you are trading in a keeper are fine, you just need to receive some more young talent in return.
DO A TRADE FOR HEYWARD IF...
A. You feel that there is only a very little chance of winning your league this season and your goal is to win as many future leagues as possible.
B. You want to get back another 1,2, or 3 u25 players like a stanton, castro, alvarez, upton, stanton, etc... -this will obviously help for you to build for the future
C. in the event you feel like you have a larger chance to win more times in the future with Heyward on your team than you have with your squad this year... 1.Trade a 1 or 2 pick player, only if they are older than 27 and only if you recieve Heyward and another top 100 player under 28 or Heyward and a top 50 player in prime 27+.(stanton, Mccutchen, Posey, Upton, etc... C-2. You could trade a closer and Outfielder to replace Heyward, someone of the caliber of Eithier or N. Cruz (who both will have good healthy years)
I would not do the current trade, I would tweak it to get more in return for your future, because trading for a guy like Heyward means getting rid of some pieces for the present.
The good thing however, is that everyone of your players you offered, Morales aside, will be post 250 picks two-three years from now, but you need more youth in return.
