Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
I hate Weeks man, I really do. And I don't think Trumbo will have as productive a year as last year. Maybe good, but not like last year. Iwakuma will have decent stats besides wins, and Walker is average at best. How is your pitching without Weaver? And do you need power that much?
I wouldn't accept it if you offered it to me in this league, unless I had #$%$ pitching (like best pitcher being Hanson or worse or something) and lots of power already. But if you got offered this, shoot I'd take the risk. Your pitching ain't that bad, especially for a 16-teamer
Depending on the rest of your hitting (i.e. are you lacking homerun hitters or need another powerbat?) I would do it. How many teams are in the league?
Are you being offered this or thinking about offering it?
In a H2H 8-team league, I have Soriano, Axford, and Balfour as my closers. Should I drop Axford and pretty much use that third closer spot for anyone who's hot and getting saves? Should I pick up Fujikawa or Herrera? Or should I wait Axford out? He was #$%$ last yer and so far is looking worse than #$%$ soooo.
So here is my team...I think I can sacrifice the speed and need the pop and better bat at 3B. What do you think? (NOTE: Only my offense is listed)
What say you?
What should be my TOP priority in improving this team. 12-team Dynasty (this year we're only keeping 12 though). Hits, Runs, HRs, Rbis, SB, Total bases, Avg, OPS, Innings, W, K, S, ERA, WHIP, K/9, QS...(I'm also putting "Keep" by players I "intend" to hold on to, if this year were to end right now)
C: Posey (Keep)
1B: Votto (Keep)
2B: Kinsler (Keep)
OF: Trout (Keep)
Util: Altuve (...Keep? maybe?)
BN: Machado (SS, Keep)
SP: Bumgarner (Keep)
SP: C.J. Wilson (Keep)
RP: Papelbon (Keep)
RP: Hanrahan (Keep)
P: Zimmermann (Keep)
BN: Shelby Miller (maybe keep (I'm a Cards fan))
DL: Feliz (Keep?)
So any suggestions on who to trade away or what to attain would be welcome. I'm trying to deal Kinsler off but don't know exactly what I want to go for. What do I need help in more, hitting or pitching?
Lol too bad all the really good ones are gone :P. Can't believe the other manager was so butthurt over the fact the commish DRAFTED Bauer, Wheeler and Rizzo. He also wants my Trout. Talk about building young lol.
Eh, I don't like pushing my luck going UP. It's easier if you, say, start by asking for his BEST (Stras) and working your way down then to start in the middle and work your way up, lol. You've already established you're willing to trade for the lower guy...Either way I don't NEED pitching that badly, so I'll just look elsewhere for trades. Price would be nice but I'm aiming at some others too ;).
