  • Some tough decisions to make this week!

Kelvin Benjamin (CAR) - at GB
Michael Floyd (ARI) - at OAK
Andre Johnson (HOU) - at PIT (questionable, ankle)
Roddy White (ATL) - at BAL
Kendall Wright (TEN) - at WAS
Odell Beckham Jr (NYG) - at DAL
Andre Holmes (OAK) - vs ARI

Right now leaning towards the top 3, since Beckham and Holmes still have more to prove, but would appreciate more opinions! Thanks

  • I'm in a 2QB league and pickings are extremely slim for a backup QB. I have Shaun Hill as an emergency backup, but with RG3 going down, it looked like I'd need to press him into service. During our league waiver run today, someone dropped Eli Manning - should I drop Hill for him? Austin Davis, Hill's backup through 2 games so far, is also available, as is Drew Stanton from ARI.

For whatever it's worth, I guess I could drop someone else on my bench, though I don't really want to. Here's my bench:
    - Bishop Sankey (Ten - RB)
    - Stevan Ridley (NE - RB)
    - Bernard Pierce (Bal - RB)
    - Kelvin Benjamin (Car - WR)
    - Delanie Walker (Ten - TE)
    - Robert Griffin III (Was - QB) - obviously

  • QB1 Matt Stafford (Det) R2 P6
    QB2 Robert Griffin III (Was) - R6 P6
    RB1 Matt Forte (Chi) - R1 P7
    RB2 Le'Veon Bell (Pit) - R3 P7
    WR1 Andre Johnson (Hou) - R4 P6
    WR2 Roddy White (Atl) - R5 P7
    TE Greg Olsen (Car) - R7 P7
    FLEX Michael Floyd (Ari) - R8 P6
    D/ST Broncos (Den) - R10 P6
    K Stephen Gostkowski (NE) - R12 P6
BN Bishop Sankey (Ten, RB) - R9 P7
BN Stevan Ridley (NE, RB) - R11 P7
BN Kelvin Benjamin (Car, WR) - R13 P7
BN Shaun Hill (StL, QB) - post-draft add
BN Andrew Hawkins (Cle, WR) - post-draft add
BN Heath Miller (Pit, TE) - R16 P6

Steve Smith (Bal, WR) and Hakeem Nicks (Ind, WR) have both just been dropped in my league - worth dropping any of my guys to pick them up? They'll probably be better than Hawkins, right? I'm a little worried about my WR depth and this seems like a good opportunity to benefit from some panic drops. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Other notable FAs: Tavon Austin (StL - WR), Delanie Walker (Ten - TE), Coby Fleener (Ind - TE), Dexter McCluster (Ten - WR/RB), Ahmad Bradshaw (Ind - RB), Doug Baldwin (Sea - WR), Brian Hartline (Mia - WR), Tim Wright (NE - TE), Kenny Britt (StL - WR)

Still pretty new at this, so any help would be appreciated, thanks

  • 12 teams, 2 QBs. Had 7th pick:

    QB1 Matt Stafford (Det) R2 P6
    QB2 Robert Griffin III (Was) - R6 P6
    RB1 Matt Forte (Chi) - R1 P7
    RB2 Le'Von Bell (Pit) - R3 P7
    WR1 Andre Johnson (Hou) - R4 P6
    WR2 Roddy White (Atl) - R5 P7
    TE Greg Olsen (Car) - R7 P7
    FLEX Michael Floyd (Ari) - R8 P6
    D/ST Broncos (Den) - R10 P6
    K Stephen Gostkowski (NE) - R12 P6
BN Bishop Sankey (Ten, RB) - R9 P7
BN Stevan Ridley (NE, RB) - R11 P7
BN Kelvin Benjamin (Car, WR) - R13 P7
BN Brian Hoyer (Cle, QB) - R14 P6
    BN C.J. Anderson (Den, WR) - R15 P7
BN Heath Miller (Pit, TE) - R16 P6

After doing a little poking around after the draft, here are my first waiver claims of the year:
Drop C.J. Anderson - Add Andrew Hawkins (Cle, WR) = Josh Gordon officially suspended, thinking Hawkins will be a hot add
Drop Brian Hoyer - Add Shaun Hill (StL, QB) = who knows how long Hoyer will start? Hill at least has a guaranteed job

Any input appreciated. How'd I do? Am I making the right moves with these claims? Thanks in advance.

  • 20-team H2H dynasty league, I've got the opportunity to trade a few of my prospects - Brian Goodwin (OF, WAS), Victor Sanchez (P, SEA), and Blake Snell (P, TB) - for Roark. My pitching this year hasn't been great - I did have Tanaka, but obviously he was injured, and my staff is somewhat weak. I'm currently running out Fister, Anibal Sanchez, Porcello, Colon, K. Gausman, and Travis Wood. I'm still in contention, but probably need more depth to seal the deal, as well as strength for the playoffs.

Roark is on an affordable deal for this year and next ($3.25MM, our salary cap is $165MM - I can keep him at that rate next year or extend him and raise his salary), the question is: is he worth it? He's been one of the best pitchers in the league this year, but what are general thoughts/predictions about his success for the rest of this year and next? The prospects aren't that amazing, so objectively I should probably pull the trigger, but we do tend to get attached to our prospects in this league, and I guess I want to make sure I'm getting good value. A slight element of time here - if I pull the trigger today, I can slot him into my lineup for his start vs BAL. Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks.
