I think you're misinterpreting what 'old man river' is saying. Shorten the FANTASY season not the REAL season. If fantasy ended a week earlier, you'd avoid a lot of this "sitting players" problem
- AUricle AUricle Sep 27, 2014 2:26 PM Flag
The problem with shortening is that it messes up the format of playing each team twice in the standard 12 team league.....Only solution to that would be to count a short week(such as during All-Star week as a full week of competition. So there is no perfect answer to this problem. But it is annoying and sometimes disastrous for it to happen when a league championship is on the line, especially in a money league

It's true 'posty'.
When I look at my league stats for the week in stattracker (when it works...lol) they are WAY down compared to any other week of the season. At bats are down 30- 40% across the league. And YES, last week was a lot better, though some guys were already sitting

This started last night, late. Typical of Yahoo to have problems during championship week.
We're the poor second cousin now that football is going.......

Hahahaha............IF you were any good, you'd have a BYE WEEK, like me.
But NO......instead, Mr.6th Place comes to the wrong board, begging for help.....and you call me "loser"??????

When stats are applied CORRECTLY, there is nothing to argue about...."in your favor" or otherwise.
There is a legitimate issue here. So if your drivel is the best you can offer, just go sit in the corner for another 13 years.
If Yahoo just applies the stats on the day they are earned, they save themselves a lot of extra work, and it takes away ALL the "issues" that arise from their arbitrary treatment of suspended game stats.

Tie breakers for regular season are as follows: Results of this weeks match up for Team A vs results of this weeks match up for Team B. If both teams have the same record for this week, then it goes to their respective results in Week 21. If still tied go to Week 20, then 19 etc.
To see this, go to your League Overview....right next to your league name you'll see "notes". Click that to open and read the notes. You'll see a link for the reg. season tie-breakers.......

Thanks for the Melancon info. Those little stats could mean a huge difference in our playoff pairings.
As for the gap and roster changes.....just award the stats on the day they are earned. Problem solved.
OK. This is bullshjt. Two weeks in a row I got jobbed on player stats....first I lost a save in the SF/Subs game, and now my Melancon win has been removed in the Pirates/Subs game.
Supposedly if the suspended game finishes in the same H2H week, the stats are SUPPOSED to be counted.
And the lame excuse that you can't apply stats to a week already ended makes no sense either. Apply the stats to whatever day they were earned in. If it changes the outcome of a week already "in the books", Oh Well...so what. We don't go by "weeks won" anyway. We use total category WINS for the standings so adjust the standings W-L-T and be done with it.
Playoff weeks wouldn't be a problem because with only 3 weeks to go, any possible suspended games will get done before a team leaves town.
Is Yahoo just making these rules up on the fly??????

This is not right. My closer pitched Sept 1 in that game....not May 22nd. He got the save. Now it's been removed.
By that logic, when there is a doubleheader played, the original game that was supposed to be played at an earlier date should not count for current stats........but it does. Totally inconsistent rule.
I can understand not applying the stats to the earlier date, in H2H leagues where that weeks match-up has been decided long ago, but not giving a player stats for a CURRENT performance is pure B.S. He played TODAY. He should be credited TODAY!
Click on a player or pitcher and you get to the page, but there are no batter vs. pitcher stats, and there are no "last 10" stats. Is this just happening to me?
How does the play-by-play work. Who tracks and enters the data, a ten yr.old???
Total at bats missing, 2-out innings etc. scores wrong, and this is EVERY DAY.
Here is todays 1st mess:
Bal. game 3rd Inning C.Davis up, bases loaded. My line up in stat-T says he's 1-for-2 with a run scored and 4 rbis.....the scoring tab says he got a double and drove in 3... never scoring himself.......the play by play says he doubled and drove in 2...but did not score himself. His only other AB was a K, so no chance to drive in/score any runs there.
ESPN scores say he hit a grand-slam home run accounting for the 4 rbi's the run scored, and the 1-for 2 hitting. This is just ONE ERROR..........there are many many others
The other issue with stat-tracker is that whole game s just 'freeze-up' and don't even report a pitch for 30 minutes (no rain delay) then all of a sudden it catches up. Terrible application this year, especially!

OK I get the rule, but the poster said the 2nd guy was thrown OUT at home, so why would anybody be charged with a run that never scored????............unless the fact that the 3rd runner who got on via the fielder's choice play scored later that inning....but that was never mentioned in the original post
I'm talking about how often it seems a basehit is almost a guarantee following a home run. I've seen it happen a bunch of times just this week alone and have watched for this "phenomenon" for years now, but I've never seen any official stat on how often it happens. Of course doubles or triples also count.
Just feels like it's half the time or more

May not be anything wrong. You could put your whole team on the bench if you want to..........but you can only roster the number of players yahoo defaults to...or your league allows. Just count the number of players on those teams. There is no way to scam the roster limit.
