Thank goodness I only care about watching competitive on track racing and not the NASCAR soap opera part.
with that said ... It seems that Harvey refuted the claims made by the ambulance chaser with regards to Harvey's involvement.
and I quote ...
“Here’s the problem with this story,” Harvey said. “I never had a meeting with NASCAR. I’ve never been interested in a race car. I don’t even like fast cars. I like big slow cars.”
Harvey said he met with Cox for what he thought would be about his educational effort to expose underprivileged youth to the sport. But the meeting turned into a talk of a boycott against Coca-Cola, a longtime NASCAR sponsor.
“He was going to boycott Coca-Cola and have all the youth come down there and block the streets,” Harvey said. “I told him I’m not going to send any young kids down to block no streets in Atlanta in front of Coca-Cola. Coca Cola ain’t done nothing to me. Coca Cola ain’t done nothing to him. (What) if something happens to one of these kids? You have to be kidding me.”

I think the racing is competitive and with the increased use of off-cycle pit strategies, the finishes are pretty wild at times.
Empty seats mean cheaper tix available. Where's the rub?

I never was an Earnhardt fan, but not a hater either. I don't recall him wrecking people outside of the context of racing for a position. Last week was simply a takeout by Tony. This week, he ran Newman toward the inside wall with NO REGARD for his own ability to make it ... it was a kamikaze takeout. That makes him a quitter toooooooo.
