Draft Monday March 3, at 9 pm
Can keep up to 5 players at round drafted, no limits to how long you can keep a player. Undrafted players are kept at round 30. Can only keep 1 undrafted player each year (the next year he would be drafted in round 30 and re-keepable). Must have pick in round to keep player. (so if you have 2 players drafted in the 15th round you would need 2 15th round picks to keep both).

Trading draft picks is allowed and encouraged.

send me a message or reply if interested.

  • I trade:
    Trout, Jonathon Niese

    for:
    Robinson Cano, David Price

I'm then trying to flip pedoria for either braun or upton/chris davis to pick up some more steals...

Trading draft picks (PLEASE ANSWER ASAP)

the trading draft picks is for next year only. you could trade next years draft picks this year (assuming all 8 players will be back next year) to sweeten a deal.
what you could do though is do the trades via message board posts and then the commish could edit a custom draft order for this year.

Draft: Live Standard (snake) draft Thursday March 10 at 6:30

    1st year keeper league
    Keeper Rules:
    1) Keep 6 players each year (20% of roster)
    2) Each keeper kept will be drafted the next year in the round before he was taken (so a player taken in round 5 this year will be drafted by your team in round 4 next year)
    3) Since there is no round zero, you can not keep a player drafted in round 1 (this ensures there is top flight talent in each draft)
    4) Since a round 2 player is drafted in round 1 the next year he then becomes ineligible to keep for year 3.
    5) If traded, players still retain the round they were drafted in, and you may not keep two players that were drafted in the same round.
    6) draft order will always be random, ensuring there is no one losing on purpose for the top pick the next year

i do consider them great pitchers... bad chose of words...
i was leaning on keeping the pitching because it is a strength and i have a good offense too... thanks for the opinions... just wanted second opinions

  • 10 team keeper league... keep 8 players at end of the year (including 3 from the team you started with (first 8 picks from one team... mine is the marlins))...

    trade
    i get
    brandon phillips
    ryan howard
    ra dickey
    i give
    josh johnson
    chris carpenter

    current team
    C jorge posada
    1B derek lee
    2b kelly johnson
    3b jorge cantu
    ss hanley rameriz
    of matt holiday
    of shin soo choo
    of mike stanton
    util andre either
    util luke scott
    util ty wigginton
bn cody ross, dan uggla, jason heyward, adam laroche

    sp carpenter, silva
    rp clippard, hisanori takahashi
p roy halladay, ian kennedy, ricky nolasco
bn matt garza, josh johnson, hiroki kuroda

min ip is 40 (thus have to move pitchers in and out when they pitch)
    cats 7x7 h2h
r, hr, rbi, sb, k, avg, xbh
    w, l, sv, k, era, whip, qs

best fa pitchers (as i would probably need one more) is wandy rodriquez, ja happ, kris medlen, cj wilson, trevor cahill

would yall do it? thats two great bats for two good pitchers... i cant decide if i can replace the pitching well enough...

i like the second one if you have a good backup 2b...
i think you gave up too much in the 1st one

  • i proposed a trade in a points league (where Put outs is worth 1 point) of my Joey Votto for his Adam Dunn...
the commish vetoed the trade saying it was unfair becauce Dunn has multiple position eligibility and thus this only helps my team....
but i say its a very fair trade as he gets an upgrade at 1B in votto and i get an upgrade in the OF (i have other 1B on my bench to plug back into the 1B spot, whereas he has dunn as one of his 1B spots since he didn't get enough 1B... obviously with putouts being a cat 2 or 3 of us loaded up on all the 1B we could...)

What is a good Minimum Innings pitched?

    by RobertK Apr 1, 2010 3:10 PM
Anton Anton Apr 1, 2010 3:34 PM Flag

as long as you set the min before the draft... after the draft cheats out the guy who drafted to the low ip....
but with 4 starters you figure 6-7 innings a piece is 24-28 innings pitched and 5 more p spots (say all relievers) then can expect 5-7 innings there... so 29-35 seems very reasonable and even 40 seems okay if you consider someone either will starts twice a week, pitch longer, or not all relievers, or bench pitchers pitching too...
