I will probably go for Hill as he has Houston up next then drop Hill for Moore.

    From two points of view,

    FAs with higher % ownership than Giles;

Matt Moore, Shelby Miller, Salty, Joe Panik, Alcides Escobar

    Highest Ranked FAs;

Hazelbaker, Chris Carter, Jao Panik, Eduardo Nunez, Rajai Davis, Erasmo Ramirez, Rick Porcello, Rich Hill,

    My team is

    C Mesoraco
    1B Goldschmidt
    2B Odor
    3B Duffy
    SS Correa
    LF Brantley
    CF Springer
    RF Chris Davis
    Util Encarnacion
    Util SSouza

Bench MConforto, DPeralta, BBurns, WMyers, TShaw

SP Harvey, Strasburg, Lackey. Hammel, Joe Ross
    RP Gregerson. Osuna, Rondon, Giles

    DL CCarrasco, DeSclafini

  • His ERA is 8.31 and his WHIP is 1.85 and Gregerson has been fine as the replacement closer. I have Gregerson, Rondon and Osuna as closers. Is there any real reason to keep Giles in my 11 team 5x5 standard Roto league. Thanks.

  • I am in an 11 team mixed league standard 5x5 roto league, 8 player keeper.

I have been offered Todd Frazier for Stephan Strasburg, should I take the deal? Frazier is the safe pick but Strasburg is the high return pick. I lean toward keeping Straburg, With this team what do you all think?

    C Devin Mesoraco
    1B Paul Goldschmidt
    2B Rougned Odor
    3B Matt Duffy
    SS Carlos Correa
LF David Peralta (Michael Brantley when he gets off the DL)
    CF Gerrge Springer
    RF Chris Davis
    Util Edwin Encarnacion
    Util Ryan Zimmerman

Bench Michael Brantley (DL bound), Michael Conforto, Will Myers

SP Matt Harvey, Stephan Strasburg, Carlos Carrasco, John Lackey, Jason Hammel, Joe Ross, Matt Moore

RP Hector Rondon, Roberto Osuna, Ken Giles, Luke Gregerson

I have Gregerson as a handcuff for Giles in case Giles has lost his closer job.

When Houston decides on a closer I will drop the other one and pick someone up, I also will pick up someone when Brantley goes on the DL.

Depends on your definition of "good". This is an 11 team league with 8 keepers each so the top 88 players are potentially good enough to keep. All these players (except Chapman) are ranked pre-season at 75 or higher. So I have too many players in the 88 rank or above which by default would be "good" enough to be keepers.

    It is a forever Keeper.

No pre-season trades allowed. Yes there are IP limits. That is why I carried Davis all last year as an RP before he got the closer job.

  • 11 Team Standard 5x5 Roto league, 8 player keeper, which 8 would you keep?

First 6 I believe are a lock but the last two are highly debatable,

    Yahoo Rank in order

    Goldschmidt 1B
    Carlos Correa SS
    Encarnacion 1B
    George Springer CF, RF
    Chris Davis 1B, RF
    Matt Harvey SP

    Sonny Gray SP
    Cole Hamels SP
    Kemp RF
    Ellsbury CF
    Wade Davis RP
    Brian Dozier 2B
    Chapman RP

Ellsbury, Kemp and Chapman are probably out of consideration due to injury history and legal problems.

This leaves Gray, Hamels, Davis and Dozier. I lean toward Gray and Dozier but really could keep any 2 of them. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
