Commissioner Corner Message Board
You have a really bad team for 9 teams. Besides Belt, your infield is pretty bad. Id need one of Tulo or Desmond back. Id also try to get Cole or Miller to make up for the starting point. Check FA/WW for the best talent before you deal the best pitcher.
For a 9 team league you have some very unrosterable talent on your squad. Before you go trading Kershaw - who are the best available players in your free agent pool?
just looking for some input normally go 10 hitters. only have 11 bc I didn't wanta miss out on the next big thing(Springer). Not saying he will be just dnt know. any feed bak would be nice.
I am in a 9 team roto NL only 5x5 keeper league. I am considering offering Clayton Kershaw for trade but need some help with the offer.
C-BUSTER POSEY (Just traded cole hamels and jarrod salralamacha for him)
3rd- Mark Reynolds (also have Ryan Zimmerman on DL)
OF- Marcell Ozuna
SP- Adam Weinwright
SP=Jorge De La Rosa
SP= Dan Heran
RP- LaTroy Hawkins
RP- Jonathan Broxton
P- Travis Wood
DL- Clayton Kershaw (SP)
DL- Carlos Quenton (OF)
These are the players I like from his team:
SS- Troy Toulowitzki
SS- Ian Desmond
OF- Matt Kemp
OF/1st- Mark Trumbo
SP- Matt Cain
RP- Jonathan Papelbom
SP- Shelby Miller
The other players he has are not ones I would consider. What would you do?
THE LEAGUE HAS NO BENCH!!!!!
Guess my last post didn't print. Odd message board. Anywho - no - based on your roster I'd rather keep Cutch. You already have Carpenter to play 3B and the upgrade to Longo isn't quite worth the downgrade from Cutch to Holliday for me.
No one in their right mind is giving up Rosenthal (who will get 40 saves) for Howard. The Rosenthal owner can get Adam Dunn for free in 65% of yahoo leagues and he's definitely going to hit more HR than Howard.
I give: Alexei Ramirez and Brandon Belt
I get Asdrubal Cabrera and Carlos Gomez
I feel Gomez is the best talent of the four by a significant amount... but I would not trust my tandem of Cabrera and Jimmy Rollins too much at ss and I feel outfielders are fairly easily replaceable... any thoughts?
Howard was on my "do not draft" list. But that's just me. I highly doubt he will hit more than 20HR..and 100RBI is a stretch IMO.. Rosenthal's ERA on the other hand will certainly come down.

I guess that's how deals are made - people valuing talent so differently. To me Santana is much more valuable than Weiters. I don't trust Cueto to stay healthy so getting two solid closers for him is huge. Reynolds is one of the most useless players on the planet - not worth Sandoval even if he weighed 300 pounds. I see this as very one sided.
Lind is getting reevaluated this afternoon. If he checks out and they say his back is fine he has the most value. The risk of course is that even if he's called ok today that the back problem could hit again at any time - making him a risky ride. If he doesn't check out today he's the DL hit for the returning Reyes. Of the other 3 I guess Tex has the highest possible reward but who knows how the wrist injury and the time away have sapped his power - which, after all, is the only thing Tex had left.

Really Scott? It's not that great a return really. Weiters is mashing. Cueto, while not an "elite" ace is an ace none-the-less. To me Reynolds is really not much less valuable than Santana really. I know I know... lots of hype, upside, potential etc... but honestly look at dude's actual production now and towards end of last season. So for 2 Closers... I guess so, but I don't think it's a no-brainer by any stretch... and personally think there are smaller better deals to be had if those players must be dealt... but he does have the pitching depth... but he loses out on young Weiters finally putting it all together at long last after 2 years of scuffling, pity.
i'm in a 16 team league and a few guys are about to clear waivers. It's a short bench, who do you think has the most upside?
