Draft and Trade Talk Message Board
By going into the initial steps to start a league I was able to see the settings you choose that relate to my question. It looks like the best way to keep people from being able to claim someone on the spot is to set the "Weekly Waivers" to "Game Time - Tuesday" but, if so, how does that work with the "Waiver Time" setting? If it's set to "Game Time - Tuesday" then does the "Waiver Time" only come into play between Tuesday and the start of the first game of the week?
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

I am not the commish in my leagues so I'm not sure of the answer to this but can someone tell me what the option is that would keep people from being able to make waiver claims on the fly between the start of the 1st game of a given week and the end of the Monday night game? In the $ league I'm in people who are available to watch the games on Sunday or at least monitor them live have a huge advantage over people who work or have another commitment during game times. By the time those people find out about an injury or other incident affecting players they have no chance at putting in a claim for a play because they have already been picked up by another team. Isn't there a setting that allows people to put in a waiver claim request anytime but doesn't process them until Monday night or early Tuesday morning based on waiver priority??
I've been looking for a good bat.
The guy who has trout in my League also benefits from having Frazier, Cruz, Donaldson and Others
My batting has been hot recently but one can only guess how long that will last.
12 team H2H Non Keeper
I Offered Cueto, Hanley and Morales for Trout
Hes got one roster spot open so he only has to drop one player
My Roster is as follows
OF-Dyson (helps with steals)
Carpenter, Holt, Rios
DL-Buxton & D'arnaud
Sp- Heaney, Cueto, Harvey, Syndergaard, Keuchel, Gray, Tillman, Odorizzi, Lynn
RP-Castillo, Gregerson, And Kimbrel
I figure I have pitching for days.
My hitters though I feel have all banked off of major hot streaks (Davis, CarGo, Altuve, Odor and Desmond recently) and others like Bryant and HAnley who also blow up fro a second then cool down.
I was wondering what you would deal. I really only like holding to Keuchel and that's is everyone else is up fro grabs.
I was also thinking if he wont deal trout I would try to package Harvey in stead so I didn't have three mets pitchers
Team A gets Paul Goldschmidt, Julio Teheran
Team B gets Anthony Rizzo, Shelby Miller and Steve Piscotty
NL only, Roto auction league, keeper league, 10 teams, 25-man rosters, 2 DL spots.
Goldy's keeper price is $28, Rizzo's is $30, and Piscotty's is $14.
Hi! Been running pick em since 2002 and in yahoo since 2009.
Buy in is $85 (17 weeks x $5) and all money goes to the pot (weekly/season).
Weekly payout is $3 x number of players. Remaining $2 per week goes to the season pot.
Season payout is 60%, 30%, 10% of the total season pot.
Average 40 players a year. Please let me know if interested and I will send the rest of the details.
I agree with Michael. Keep Ingram. As a Bears fan let me warn you of all the variables with Jeffery this year. New head coach, new offense, first year as the #1. The guy is an incredible talent, but I wouldn't be surprised if he delivered below third round value this season.
Give us some detail on your league (number of teams, format, style, categories, etc.). Hard to tell given so little detail but I'd generally say trading away guys who are decently far away from being MLB players (let alone stars) to get a guy who was drafted in the first 20 picks this year is probably worthwhile if you're in contention.
You have a lot of youth and playing time questions here. You have one proven stud and he's out for the first two weeks. You have a ton of high upside guys, at best half of them will reach that upside this year. Unfortunately you have a lot of guys I don't like. I'd say 2 out of 5 stars and you'll finish in the bottom third of the league. That being said, enjoy proving me wrong! Good luck!
