Commissioner Corner Message Board
Because holds will be easy to pick up? You're right hadn't thought about it that way. My thinking was that closers have high K/9 and low ERA Whip, plus Saves thats 4 categories they would be contributing to.
Not a bad autodraft team. You need SP help though and you have OF depth. You could wait to see if Rios Upton start out hot and use them as bait for a SP.
Greetings! I have created a Weekly H2H Points League with Autodraft on Yahoo! and would like to recruit some owners who are interested. I have always played Roto and H2H Cats and wanted to try this format out.

H2H 14 team league. Auction draft. Stats are - OBP, HR, RBI, R, SB / W, ERA, WHIP, K/9, S+H
Our league has changed some stat categories from last year and I'm struggling with finding each players real value given the new stats. Choices are: Choose 3 keepers/
With OBP added SS Choo and Votto's value should be higher than the Yahoo rank. Han Ram has the most potential if healthy and Longoria is good at a scarce position. Jose Fernandez was so good last year but could hit a sophomore slump. CLiff Lee is automatic every year and Sonny Gray was amazing in the post season. Kenley and Koji are wild cards for me because of the new stat categories K/9 and S+H, they would also contribute to ERA and WHIP. Given these stats Closers should be very valuable in our league.
I'm not sure Taveras will be worth holding on to, he can't seem to keep himself healthy so, even if productive, he seems like one of those guys who will have a yearly stint on the DL. That being said, I like your pitching more than I like your hitting, you've got a lot of youth on your staff while your offense is starting to age a bit.
I'd wait and see if Moore has his #$%$ together after his ST start today. See if you can find out what he#$%$ on the radar gun primarily. He was wild in ST last season and still had a pretty good year but his MPH was lower than it normally was 92-93. His walk-rate will be an issue most likely, just like a lot of LHP early in their MLB careers, but if he has his velocity back to what it used to be (94-98), he will have a strong K/9 which is always nice in IP limit leagues. Not to mention an outstanding defense behind him to help with W's/ERA.
Tough call on who to take, but I think Moore gives you the edge if you're wanting to win this year, and he's still young enough to improve so it isn't like you are mortgaging the future. I'd try moving some of your vets for a bit of youth on offense either way.
H2H League stats counted are W GAA SV% SO, I currently have Luongo, Bishop, and Lack as my goalies, we only start 2 goalies. Should I keep Lack or look else where? Current available goalies on waivers are:
