Commissioner Corner Message Board
I like Gore a lot this year and Edelman should put up numbers when Brady returns. I would probably start Landry over Edelman at least until Brady comes back and then see how well Edelman does compared to Landry. The best part about Landry is that you will get 800+ return yards on top of his receiving stats.

You're going to want to go RB/WR or RB/RB with your first two picks. I would target the best available RB with your first pick.
Out of curiosity, who were the other players on your team?
You have Luck so you don't need to draft another QB 'early' but I wouldn't wait too long. I would look for Rivers, Tannehill, Dalton, or Romo (early side) for your 2nd QB.
like others have stated you need depth at rb...cobb, jones, artis payne..is anyone young that has a chance of taking the starters role out there.....cruz/fitz are droppable because you have good wr
lol.... I hate leagues where managers vote. Most are looking for winners and losers, so they veto everything. Instead of seeing how a trade helps a particular team, they just look at the players and are clueless to the situation.
And Im with Harrison when it comes to trophys!
Don't trade for Doug Martin....
I would try to move ODB. I'm not high on him at all and would rather have Brown and Hilton. You could essentially move ODB and Watkins for a lesser WR and a better RB. Your current RBs have a lot of upside but one or all of them could bust and who knows when Foster will return....
12 team league, 5th pick
Q - Tannehill
R - Lacy
R - L Miller
W - C Johnson
W - A Johnson
T - Cameron
F - K Allen
B - Foster, Abdullah, Royal, Wheaton, Rivers. S Johnson, Hillman
League settings are ppr, .25 per rush, .25 per completion (weird, I know, but its a work league) -- everything else is normal.
Other than the fact that I apparently really like wideouts named Johnson, what do you think?
This looks exactly like the guy's team who has the Saints fleur-de-lis for his logo. Not sure I like it as much as I would for PPR and I think you reached for Brees when you should have waited on QB. Not a huge fan of your bench but I like Dez, Julio and Forsett. Not super high on Murray but I think he'll either play really well or really badly, not so much in between.
I have my draft Tues. Making sure I got everything ready. I know Yahoo changed a lot of the settings in Commish tools this year concerning the draft. To those who have drafted, can you still change the amount of time between each pick? I can not find it this year.
Like your starters and hoping Allen bounces back. Foster will be good down the road. I hope Abdullah doesn't lose too many touches once J. Bell comes back. Royal, Wheaton and Stevie could end up much better than previous years. Don't like the Hillman pick but you'll probably never use him.
I was thinking the same thing when I looked at this... I had to re-read the title and make sure this was actually a standard league and not PPR. I REALLY don't like passing on RBs in the first two rounds of a standard league, because it is SO hard to land a top notch RB and without one your team will flounder.
What I DO like about this team is some of the bench depth, and the trade possibilities that creates. Guys like CJ Spiller, Mike Wallace, and Zach Ertz all have the potential to see a spike in value at some point during the season which could allow you to make a big trade to shore up that RB position.
I want to use fractional points for my league but I don't want to use fractional points for kickers. I want all FG's to be worth 3pts and PAT's to be worth 1pt. How do I do this?
Thanks in advance
My 10 team PPR money league recently drafted, and when the draft concluded I noticed a glaring problem with my team: I drafted two QBs with the same bye week. I ended up putting together a trade shipping off my backup QB (Bridgewater) and WR3 (Jordan Mathews) for a new starting QB (Wilson), then added Tyler Lockett with high potential upside to the end of my bench. Tell me what you think of my team and where you would go from here. Thanks!
QB: R. Wilson
RB1: M. Forte
RB2: L. McCoy
WR1: A. Jeffery
WR2: T. Hilton
TE: D. Walker
W/R/T: J. Landry
K: G. Gano
Bench: C. Newton, J. Bell, D. Martin, J. Stewart, R. White, T. Lockett, T. Eifert
I ended up with a LOT of running backs, especially for a PPR league, but I have high trade hopes for these guys, especially if injuries begin to eat into the RB pool out there. And, frankly, Bell, Martin, and Stewart fell to me so late I couldn't pass on them based on their value.
I actually think that's a damn good team - LOVE the top 5 that you put together. That draft must've felt like taking candy from a baby.
Landry worries me a bit with his special teams duties, so I would've liked to see some more WR depth beyond a 33 year old w/ elbow problems - but otherwise with just a little bit of luck you should be in great shape.
Normally I would say OP is crazy for trading Matthews in a PPR league but then I actually looked at his roster. The only players I worry about for him not paying off are Doug Martin and if Bell loses out to Abdullah while he is injured. He may not ever need to use Roddy White.
The best part about Landry are his return duties and that's because you also get 800+ return yards. Think he had 1158 last year on top of 84 catches, 758 yards and 5 TDs.
