I was offered J.Weaver (SP) for D.Gordon (SS), should I accept this trade ? The only other SP he has that I would be interested in would be .M.Wacha for St.L......I already have some decent pitchers on my team, Kershaw, F.Hernandez, and Darvish...few more....would appreciate some opinions here...thnx
Nothing sad about it kid and everyone's MS is different, as i said you are clueless about pretty much everything you post here lol. If i were you I'd give up while you are behind.

4 for 2 is generally not a good idea. In a 10 team league the value of Cano, Zimmerman, and Teheran significantly drops. With your team #2, Yu for Abreu would be a great deal for you as your hitting is lacking.
Here's an update. Brandon Belts exciting start was a mirage...he will continue to hit below .250 and maybe reach 20 homeruns by the end of the year. TRADE TRADE TRADE
I would need to know the roster size, but a THIRTY team league???
The size of your league alone makes this a competitive offer. Try to get a younger pitcher like Dallas K, or Kluber, and another OF like Joc Pederson or Polanco...but if you get those tweaks you need to do the deal!
Do you keep your entire team? I think he holds *some* value going forward. I wouldn't count on him this season, but he's a guy who had a high upside going into the season. Perhaps he can turn it around in 2015.

If there's only 3 keepers per team, you have 3 right there in your ad... Not such a challenge.
Well you gotta give to get, but if you really think so, you could try and counter for another minor piece in return by arguing Longo plays at a more difficult position to replace and that Shields is a proven 200 K sub 4 SP.... however I would not make a direct counter, but rather leave that offer up and propose a new one concurrently.
RE: your hesitation over giving away too much.. it's a lot, there's no doubt about it... but he is giving away the best player this season (and theoretically over the few) in the deal. Abreu is a freakish monster and has legit 40+ HR potential... Longo at his peak had legit 30+ potential, but that would be a pretty big reach at this point. I think the difference of Abreu going forward over Longo is, in fact worth Shields, who is very good, but far from elite... you have him, you know how he's been... he got bombed tonight... I didn;t even start him vs the Cards... I sat him on my bench because he's just not right at the moment... I think you can find a diamond in the rough via free agency if you put your mind to it and come out way ahead on this deal... but that said if you want to counter, I would do it without rejecting the current deal and not asking too much in addition back from him.
My original feeling though remains the same... I think you should take it as is.
What's up Crass... good to see you getting back to baseball, lol! I'd say that's tough... Kershaw is obviously more valuable than Gray, but at the cost of Ortiz probably depends ultimately on Team A's roster construction. If it has the power hitters to absorb the most of the loss of Ortiz and can find a decent replacement... If Singleton was available, I'd look at adding him. LaRoche next out of the 3 above. Ike Davis could be available and a decent play, but Ortiz is a tough guy to part with when paired with Gray when you;re not getting a Bat in return, even if the prize is Kershaw.
Last year we had 18 teams in a league which was very rough...this year anticipate at least 18 teams/owners again, but maybe as many as 24.
Ultimately I'd prefer to have just 1 overall winner, and I like Yahoo's system of keeping historical records of our league (this is our 5th year with Yahoo). However, since we may have too many teams, besides splitting all the teams across 2 separate Yahoo leagues with similar scoring/rules, and then just manually pitting the individual league champs against each other by seeing who had the higher score, does anyone have any other suggestions or ideas how to manage a big group of teams/owners (while still maintaining some relevant historical data within Yahoo)?
You are not giving up too much and you should do this deal before he takes it down. SHields is a nice pitcher but he isn't a keeper and he can be replaced easily.
One more team opened up.
Last 2 spots;
1) Takoma Terrors
2.) Tucson Temperature
