I like your pitching, your offense not so big on. SP Chris Carpenter needs to go. Is SP Iwakuma (SEA) available? He's a solid, unharolded guy I like at a FA pickup or late-rounder. I wouldn't waste a waiver pick, as in most public leagues people do some VERY stupid things in the first month of the season.
I'd keep an eye on Avila and Smoak (yes... Smoak), I'd also consider Chris Carter (HOU), as he could be a very cheap source of 20-30 HR's this season with enough contact... he'll definitely get the playing time. Is D. Brown available?
Ive heard that the report on Braun being public enemy number one is B.S. Supposably his name was on that list due to his case last year. which would be double jeoperdy. I think there is a good chance Braun slips through,and I think it is worth the risk. Worst thing that happens is Braun gets 50 games. you still get Trumbo out of the deal.

Can he get 40 RBI? Sure but he's only done that 1 time...so it's just not a reasonable expectation. Even at leadoff his runs are certainly going down because without the big RBI bats of Granderson and Tex...who's going to knock him in from 2nd? They are going to pitch around Cano and Jeter. Tex is out until June Grandy is back sometime in late May. Gardner could have a big 2nd half but don't expect much out of the gate. Frankly I would much rather have a guy like Starling Marte who I picked off the WW. He will probably hit 15-20 HR, steal close to 40 and score 80.
