General Message Board
Alan, I was in the car for an hour...stopped to eat dinner...did some grocery shopping...got home...took a dump...and you are still on here waiting for a useful response.
Then after 2 hours asked the same question in another thread and still haven't gotten a response. That should tell you something...unless you are stupid.
Lol if getting that off your chest makes you feel better Im glad I could help. Im here to talk baseball dude..#$%$ off. and im so sure if you had 3 women vying for your attention youd be spending your time on fantay message boards lol. So many holes in your pathetic story. Im sure 3 women would vy for the attention of a taco bell employee
Thank you Harry....any input on the actual topic? everyone on here know D strong is a troll. Whoever says the #$%$ he does is obviously a liar. I wont shy away from the truth..im sitting watching the jays smoking weed and waiting for some input before i make this deal lol
1st time playing FB .... I'm a FF guru, and it's totally different. I see that you need lots and lots of patience...I've been dropping and picking up guys left and right. I NEED performance now...is it a "typical" slow start for these guys or is this a bad team?
K.Morales, M.Moustakas, K.Kiermaier are all available, should I pick up any of them and drop someone? My hitters are killing me, not so much as my pitchers.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
M.Carpenter( i put him up for trade and no takers.
E.Longoria (bench)(I put him up for trade and nothing)
G.Stanton( what's up with my 1st rd pick?)
G.Polanco(I'm on the brink of dropping him)(bench)
A.Gose (added him this week. Why isn't he playing???)
S.Souza(added this week and dropped A.Rod. I didn't want to drop A.Rod. )
S.Greene(added this week) dropped hughes
J.Peralta(added this week) dropped Bucholtz(sp?)
T.Bauer (added this week) dropped T.Walker
J.Familia(added this week) dropped A.Sanchez
You have some guys who haven't started well who I still believe will have nice seasons (Prince I'm concerned won't hit for power after the surgery, but his average is encouraging and the power will come to some degree. Stanton may not end up bringing the 1st round value you paid for him, but he might and he will certainly improve. Etc). I wouldn't panic just yet. You have a decent looking team overall. That said, there are some things you can do. You have way too many bench bats and not enough pitchers. You didn't specify league settings, but if I assume a standard setup your daily lineup *should* look something like this right now:.
OF) Stanton, Kemp, Souza
UT) Murphy, Freeman
BN: Carp, Kipnis, Calhoun, Gose, Polanco, Andrus
That's 6 BN bats. You don't need 6 bench bats. Polanco and Andrus are droppable. Carp, Kipnis, Calhoun should be tradable. Try to upgrade at SS via trade. Iglesias is great for now but not likely to keep up this pace. If you can't trade Carp/Kipnis/Calhoun, try moving Murphy or Freeman and moving one of your many bench bats to a UT spot.
You have some pitchers I like, but you need more. Add some starters via trade or with some of the space you free up getting rid of bench bats. Maybe look to get a starter along with a SS when you trade. If not, look on the waiver wire. I'd feel a lot better about your team with 8 starters and 4 BN bats.
No for that trade but if this guy wants Trout you might be able to squeeze a top tier pitcher AND Byrant for Trout. THAT i would do.
Preseason I would have definitely went with Bautista and Samardzija and I still lean that way, but it's looking a lot more like an even trade now. I'm surprised how much Cruz is still raking in Seattle.

Limit the number of adds allowed per week. Limit the number of adds allowed for the season. That will cut down a lot on pitcher streaming.
What is everybody's opinion on this guy? Is he worth a roster spot on most teams? He seemed like a decent fill-in last season and could be useful if his stats are comparable, but it's hard to say since his minor league track record is a little up and down.
This. In the NL it matters. 8th batter gets nothing to hit. Once he's on (via walk) he won't steal because the pitcher is going to bunt him over anyway if there are less than two outs. And if there are two outs he won't want to run into an out with the pitcher at the plate.
There is no hate for Anthony Rizzo. I am sure he is a genuinely nice guy.
However, he is not worth a 1st round (or even 7th round) draft pick and the mathematically ignorant fools in here refuse to believe (or are unable to understand) objective empirical numerical data.
Anthony Rizzo = Lucas Duda
